Just added this to my collection today. It just looks so SWEET! Glad to see new pets and glad to keep more in stock. However, each pet I add to my collection seems to diminish the significance of each preceding pet. Although I felt too restricted with the one on hand and four at home, each of those pets was VERY carefully chosen, kind of like a pet I'd have at home. Did we really need THIS many more pets? Food for thought.

I believe that Blizz has fixed it so they're the same lvl as the other mobs because I just tamed one today on my lvl 40 hunter in the cave next to the river. Can anyone else confirm this?

There are only two locations to obtain a beetle that is this red color. You can either tame these, or you must get the elites in Bastion Of Twilight. Needless to say, this is a much easier place to obtain this stunning red beetle!

as of 4.2, they still die a couple seconds after taming them, but you can rez them and they behave like any other pet from there on out.

LOL... I just tamed one of these and was posting about it in my guild chat. Shortly thereafter, he died! I guess that's what they're supposed to do after a certain time (the mob that is summoned, I mean), and it carried over to the tamed version by mistake. Quite funny I think. I'm sure it won't be a problem once I revive him though.
Also, if you're looking to tame them, they're pretty tiny when they're summoned.
