These guards can be killed as long as you stay out of melee range. They seem to stay at range and use Shoot instead of melee. Their Shoot hit me as a pally tank for about 1k-3k and as long as I stayed at range, that's all they did. It took awhile to kill one being a pally tank, but a ranged dps I'm guessing can do it a lot faster Their melee attacks hit me for about 25k.
