With the changes from a Cata patch that has the ""pet"" despawn when it's summion outside of Winter's Vale. I wonder how this'll affect it now as a battle pet.

Green quality Battle Pet
No longer requires a https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=17202 Snowball to summon, but will automatically complain and then dismiss itself if summoned outside of the Winter Veil holiday event.
Can be used in your battle pet teams all year round however.

It's stats look lowsy, but it's skills are very powerful. I use him as my main pet. Frost Tomb is very useful, and once you get Ice Lance at lvl 10 he can take care of himself very well, even in PvP fights.
Also very nice is that he is Humanoid, but wields only elemental skills. This means that when fighting critters, all attacks are weak.

A common bug is, if your gnome gets polymorphed in battle (like the frog kiss for example), your pet will return untextured. It looks fun.
Also, this pet is really good. Ice Tomb + Call Blizzard + Ice Lance is quite powerful, and useful against the endless parade of clockwork gnomes in pvp. Pair it with pets who further benefit from the chill effect from Call Blizzard for extra damage.

Be quick upgrading him if you are. Apparently outside of Winter Veil they unsummon themselves after complaining about being interrupted.

I started using this as a battle pet today. As I reentered Stormwind after getting him to level 3, he made the following comment:
Look, mage. Here's the thing. Toys and lights and bundles of holiday herbs don't make THEMSELVES, you know. So ENOUGH with the Helper summoning, PLEASE.

Every time you summon this pet outside of Winters Veil, they will complain to you then de-summon themselves.
If you leave them as your last summoned pet, every time you zone/dismount login, they will spawn, complain then vanish again.
Here's a sample of some (but not all) of the things they say, go and troll a battle pet today!<div class=""quote"">It's not Winter Veil yet, you know. I heard that... what the-? HEY! We helpers have WORK to do, you know!<div class=""quote"">Whoas! Where's the workshop?
