I saw this mount in Stormwind recently. It has a lot of idle animations for a mount. It flaps around and moves like a silithid bug does.

By Only way to get it is from opening the gates of Ahn'Qiraji...which only happens 1 time on each realm

By I just saw this mount, today! I'm looking at it right now, and it's a magnificent mount. Nothing like the ugly horses in this game.

By This mount is no longer obtainable. It was given to the first person and the people who complete the Scepter of the Shifting sands chain quest in vanilla and is the only legendary mount in the game besides the GM only mount [Peep's Whistle]. The Quest opened the doors to Ahn'Qiraji . Although many servers only had 1 person get this mount a few servers had 2 people ring the gong in the 10 hour time frame. The people who originally banged the gong can be found on http://www.wowwiki.com/List_of_scepter_holders_by_server This page .
In cataclysm the original chain quest that gave you this mount will be removed from the game because of the changes happening to Azeroth. Players who completed the quest prior to the release of cataclysm will receive the feat of strength Veteran of the Shifting Sands.
