A little note about these critters for the achievement.

I had difficulty getting the achievement to flag complete. I was /love'ing the crap outta a ram and not getting credit. There was another one nearby, I tried on that one and got it. Dunno what was wrong, but be forewarned: check the achievement progress before leaving the area!

Actually if you run through the gate to the Wetlands you'll find a ram on the right hand side right after you exit the tunnel

The easiest way to find a ram is take the northern tunnel in Loch Modan up towards Wetlands. There's almost always one at some point between the entrance and the exit (into Wetlands) This saves you the trouble of searching all of Loch Modan.

The path leading from Loch Modan - Wetlands through Dun Algaz is probably the best place to find a Ram.

For Horde members - these are actually pretty easy to find. Fly into Hammerfall, and head south to the Wetlands. From there, take the tunnel south towards Loch Modan. There are always Ram on the paths between the tunnels between Wetlands and Loch Modan.

There's also a few stabled at the ""hidden"" farm on the eastern coast of Arathi Highlands, which might be easier for some Hordies to get to with the new ability to fly in old world :-)

The map above says rams can be found in Northern Headlands (Ruins of Gilneas.) I went to that spot and drove around all of Northern Headlands didn't see any. Saw plenty of sheep, no ewes or rams.

These rams will come up in battle pet groups (usually along the river 29,67). They are NOT able to be captured / trained. One of the very few you battle in a random group but can not capture :( .
I had one come up with a rare pet, and chose to capture the rare, thinking I'd get this ram as a rare later. . . Never seeing it as anything better than common, I finally decided to capture one of them - that's when I discovered they were not able to be captured. A huge waste of time that you can now avoid.

I really wish the tooltip said ""cannot be tamed"" the way some of the other non-tameable pets do.
