This guy spawns when you finish the Absent Minded Propsector quest (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=943 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=943 ). He warns you ""Digging too deep into your past might bring an abrupt end to your future."" and then disappears. Unfortunately there seems to be no followup to the story.

By It would seem there is finally some follow up in the story in Uldaur considering Algalon the Observer.<div class=""quote"">Archaeologist Flagongut begins to manipulate the Stone of Relu over the two fossils.
Archaeologist Flagongut says: By the stars! A spirit has been summoned!
Aman says: Who hath summoned forth Aman?
Aman says: Ah, I see you toil with relics of the past.
Aman says: Be warned that even your creators are fallible.
Aman says: Digging too deep into your past might bring an abrupt end to your future.
Aman dissipates before your eyes.
Archaeologist Flagongut says: It's a mystery of the past indeed! But a key to our future!Algalon the Observer being a entity designed to asses Azeroth and decide whether the Titans should wipe it clean and rebuild due to corruption.

By It's surely not Aman'thul. Think yourself: Aman'thul is presumably the most powerful being in the Universe, for now at least. How can HE be SUMMONED by an artifact of just a low level quest? If even Algalon the Observer, just HERALD of titans(not even mentioned in Pantheon) required a reason to come(death of Loken), how can the allmighty Father show up, say a few words then disappear? Seems ridiculous. I guess Aman is some kind of titan warden of Azeroth, like Loken, or even Loken himself(due to the same model). That fits well with both the way he showed up(summoning) and the speech he gives(about Algalons arrival). IF it was stated somewhere on blizzard forums that Aman IS Aman'thul then sorry, didn't find out. If it's just wowwiki's speculation then please try to understand and not downrate.

By Could as well be a voicemail greeting.. think a little : it doesn't talk to either the NPC or the player, it just says
""Aman says: Who hath summoned forth Aman?
Aman says: Ah, I see you toil with relics of the past.
Aman says: Be warned that even your creators are fallible.
Aman says: Digging too deep into your past might bring an abrupt end to your future.""

By ""even your creators are fallible""
sounds a lot like Loken.
All the fellows of ulduar, the protectors, are avatars of the pantheon.
Is loken a avatar of aman'thul?
