At low levels while leveling up skinning, if you have an area of effect spell. Cast it in a herd of Gazelles and due to their low health it should kill them all. Then skin them all for ruined scraps.

Found them all the way up at 44.45!
They move quite fast, which is why they can be hard to locate if you're looking for them.
After looking for ages I made a macro /target gazelle and that's how I spotted them.

Found them at 53.1, 15.8. They didn't move for a few seconds, so it looks like this may be a spawn point. Hope that helps.

After scouting three times all the spawn points mentioned, I finally found a group just south of Camp Taurajo... Took around 45 mins but got to /love one... twice (just in case) :)

Confimed start point at 53, 15 head east.
Rest 56.72, 17.96 then north
Rest 54.87, 10.64 then west
Rest 52.47, 13.47.
Then head south to start.
Rest are for less than 2mins.
Total patrol time +/- 10mins.

As I headed for your location, I ran into the Gazelle's making their rounds at 52,16; They run in a pack of like 8, through or near the Savanah Prowlers, too. Hope that helps others :)*

Gazelles are apparently lava proof. I just watched a herd southeast of Hunter's Hill in the Northern Barrens run through the RIVER OF LAVA AND FIRE with no harm.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find them. Switched to Wowhead to check comments, then back to WoW and two were running right past my alt! These gazelles don't seem to hang out in one spot, but rather race all over the place. Ugh! But hey, finally got the achieve!

Upon entering battle with an obtainable wild critter, hovering over ""Strong Trap"" will return a red ""Your enemy's health isn't low enough.."" message. Possibly not word-for-word. When entering battle with the gazelle, it says right off the bat ""Your enemy pet is not caputurable."" Word-for-word. Never mind that capturable isn't a word and if it were they spelled it wrong, the message confirms that indeed the gazelle is not an obtainable pet.

Update:
The Gazelle Fawn https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=62176"">(NPC #62176) is an obtainable pet, and it is likely that the Gazelle fighting as a partner in some pet battles is a glitch. That is just an opinion, though.

I just spent two hours using the macro:

/run for i=1,C_PetBattles.GetNumPets(2) do SELECTED_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(C_PetBattles.GetName(2,i).."" - "".._G[""BATTLE_PET_BREED_QUALITY""..C_PetBattles.GetBreedQuality(2,i)]) end

and finally found a RARE gazelle. When it came time to trap it, my trap icon displayed the message, ""Your enemy pet is not capturable.""

Don't waste your time like I did. 10/20/2012.

One thing to remember is that this is larger than most critters, just keep that in mind when looking for it.
