I solo this chick all the time.

Just hit her and jump into the water next to her, hippogryphs can't swim but she can. Gotta hit it just right though, sometimes she evades back to where she started, a few tries and you should be able to master it.

Just today I attacked her and then jumped in the water as usual. This time she started running away through the forest with the evade bug on. I chased her for over 20 minutes until a GM answered my ticket and restored her. Just be careful she could probably get you into trouble for exploiting =/
