If you /love this critter, it adds towards one of the new Wrath of the Lich King Achievements called ""To all the squirrels I've loved before"".

This parrot is not very common if you are trying to find one or the Achievement. I made a macro just /target parrot.

Also unlike this picture I found a pure snow white one, could be other colours as well.

Another tip would be to hit 'V' so the name and health bar come up.

It looks like these might share a spawn point with the snake critters. I killed two snakes in two different spots - when they respawned, one was a parrot (the other was a snake again). I figure camping a critter is easier than flying around hoping to spot one...

I have seen many around Un'Goro. Near the Monkey cave where the bot!monkey named Amy-O1 or something like that is a red parrot with grey wings. I saw a red and green one at the bottom of the Lakari tarpits. There are many around including a white one I saw near the empty camp where one of the quest items are found in the NE.

Tip for warlocks:
- travel to Sholazar Basin
- use waygate to Un'Goro
- put Demonic circle near the western edge of the terrace
- jump down
- find and /love a parrot
- run back and portal to the cliff
- head back to Northrend

Saves some time if your HS in on cooldown.

confirmed. Start of circuit of the nodes listed above, if there is a snake there kill it, snakes on those nodes have a chance of spawning as a parrot.

Interestingly, /love on a dead critter works for the achievement! I actually found a dead parrot and got credit.

Took the friendly advice...killed a snake, it rez'd as a red parrot (60, 18)...right outside the ape cave. Good luck!

If you're trying for the https://vanillawowdb.com/?achievement=1206 To All The Squirrels I've Loved Before achievement, I've found the easiest parrots to find and love are the ones flying above Booty Bay's Salty Sailor Tavern @ 40.8, 73.6 https://vanillawowdb.com/?maps=5287 The Cape of Stranglethorn .

You can see/click them by looking west from the west end of the https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2859 Gryphon Master's flight deck @ 41.5, 74.4

Or you can fly to the coordinates over the inn or climb to the top deck outside the Inn where https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2496 Baron Revilgaz and https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2487 Fleet Master Seahorn stand talking. When you turn to face the Inn, look up and /love.

PS. While in Stranglethorn, you might want to catch crabs by loving among the buccaneers along the shore north of Booty Bay.

Some of the easiest to find are in northern Swamp of Sorrows. south of The Harbborage. Beware the allies there tend to be pretty aggressive.

If you're looking to capture one of these in Northern Strangelthorn, I just ran around and kept starting fights with Pollys. Run if the secondary pet isn't a parrot. It took me about five tries to get a parrot as the secondary. Happy hunting. :)

Watch out folks! These critters spawn around the tree branches of various trees in Northern Stranglethorn.
