I realize the schematic for creating this pet is obtained by renewing your goblin engineering card, but does anyone know how long it takes for the mail to get to you? I spent roughly 100g on renewals and haven't gotten any mail yet. I would assume that even if I didn't get any schematic I would get some bombs or something? Any ideas?

Although created with engineering you can keep using this pet if you unlearn the profession

While power-leveling this pet, it got one-shot and did not resurrect as I expected it would. Wonder if anyone else has had this happen.

For those who use this pet's suicide ability to power level lowbie pets:
If you use this (leveled) pet all the way through a wild pet battle, and successfully https://vanillawowdb.com/?petability=282 Explode the last pet of the opposing team, you can avoid swapping your low-level pets in for one round (and the associated risks) at all.
Your two back line pets will share the XP between them.

The only annying thing about this pet is that it's always uncommon upon creation... and getting a battle stone to make it rare takes alot of time and effort

As it seems nobody has mentioned this yet... This pet is an absolute engine of destruction in pet battles. He was the second pet I started battling with and after a flawless stone used on him he still makes it into the line up for most of my battles vs grand masters(currently working on getting to grand master aki, two more pandaria ones to go!).
The fact that PVE trainers are easy to predict when it comes to switching pets makes Minefield and Screeching Gears an absolutely deadly combo and all you have to do is pray to RNG you get the stun off. My bombling has managed to take down the Darkmoon pet master's ape in one turn using Minefield + Batter on the turn it's switched in.
I highly recommend using a pet stone to make him rare quality. I didn't regret it and neither should you :p
