Reclaiming the Charred Vale

Keeper Albagorm on Stonetalon Peak wants you to slay 7 Bloodfury Harpies, 7 Bloodfury Ambushers, 7 Bloodfury Slayers and 7 Bloodfury Roguefeathers.

Description

As a protector of the forest spirits you can undoubtedly guess why I am alarmed.

You have traveled through these mountains to reach this peak. Surely you have seen the travesty which has befallen the land. Greed has led to the destruction of these sacred hills.

The Charred Vale to the south was set afire by the greedy mechanized army of industrialists. Worse yet, the Bloodfuries that have encroached on the land refuse us passage in to begin regrowth.

Drive the wretched harpies out, <name>!

Progress

There is much work to be done before the Charred Vale can be restored to the lush forest it once was.

Clear the area of those foul menaces, <name>! Only then can we begin to reclaim what belongs to nature.

Completion

Now that the Bloodfuries have suffered such a great loss, perhaps the true work of restoring the land can begin....

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 220 experience (13 20 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Darnassus

I found the ambushers hard to find in particular. Finally I found some around (30, 57). This is the in north west of the Charred Vale. There is a hill to stand on, with a good overview point. There aren't plenty so you will have to wait for resets. Another useful remark may be that Harpys and Ambushers are mainly found in the north end of the valley while Slayers and Roguefeathers are found more to the south. Stick to the edges so your back is safe. This quest is good to combine with the following other quests: Pridewings of Stonetalon, Retrieval for Mauren, Enraged Spirits, Wounded Ancients.

Alliance players, Horde player frequent this area and like to pick you off as you fight the Bloodfuries.

Watch out for the 26 Elite Harpy near the middle. She's light blue and surrounded by her own circle of guards.

I found it very hard to find rouguefeathers, however I found if I killed slayers Rouguefeathers would spawn in their place

27,67

It's not too bad to get to, run the West mountainside until you reach the Coodinates.

The Mobs are 23-26 (occaisional 27-28)
Plentiful mines,

Truesilver , Mithril deposits, everywhere. - little hard to get to but if you're a miner, it pays off in gains.

Did this quest with a lvl 27 rouge. It is pretty easy seeing as how the highest lvl creature I found were not even harpies. Only reason it took me awhile was the different types of Harpies were hard to find.

Did this as a Lvl 28 hunter.
The Charred Vale is such a populated area, it wasn't uncommon to be fighting 2 or more mobs. Had the most trouble finding Ambushers. Found some on both the west and east sides. Harpies are everywhere, don't have to worry about those, and I found the Roguefeathers on the east side. Slayers I found a bit to the south. Be careful for the Stormwitches. They are a BIG pain in the butt.

There are a lot of Hordie players in the area, but none higher than Lvl 27 to my experience. Note that it is worth it to help them if they are overwhelmed with mobs; I had a Blood Elf Paladin as a ""pet"", you can say, that helped me until I was finished. XD

Easily soloable with NE Druid 23. Just hard time finding the Ambushers. I found most of mine at northwestern. Good luck, and... Don't say ""Watch out for the Hordes!"", 'cuz we (Allies) also try to ""Pick 'em off"", since it's a factionXfaction game. Don't wanna PvP? Go play Ragn@rok or another stupid game! ^^

Easily soloable with NE Druid 23. Just hard time finding the Ambushers. [If you purge my post, it won't make !@#$ out of me. It just proves you're too noob to solo it at lvl 23 =) sorry]

I would strongly recommend doing this in a group. The adds stack up like crazy if you don't kill them fast enough. I found myself dealing with 3 mobs on multiple occasions.
Kill any thing that could potentially be an add, you'll thank yourself later.
