Ah, I think I have it. A messaging spell... I believe that's the effect he's looking for.

I'll have to create a scroll with the spell impressed upon it. To do that I'll need debris from a dust devil.

While I gather the rest of the components, why don't you head to Westfall and find one of the foul creatures? They are dangerous, but I'm sure it's nothing you can't handle if you're willing to subject yourself to one of Gaxim's experiments.

Dust devils circle around in pretty much all of westfall, however they are not very common. Only took two kills to get the quest item.

Above is correct. I rec'd running around and you will find them along the way. A few posters on other sites rec'd the south of Alexston's Farmstead, but they're so spread out that once you kill the one roaming in that area, your best bet is to look for them the hard way.

Unfortunately, no coords as they'd be useless. Drop rate depends on your luck. I got mine on the 3rd kill (about 35 mins worth of roaming).

He may not be there all the time. But if you find him roaming around an area. Please post the coordinates.

Just follow the map linked and make a /target dust devil macro... i found every single one since they are too high level for most of the people questing in westfall

I used the map and got it on my 4th kill, at the spot west of Moonbrook.

As far as I could tell, they like to hang around the middle of most of the spots on the map. I.E in the middle of the set of points west of moonbrook.

If you make a macro saying:
/target Dust Devil
and run around Westfall spamming it, it can make life a whole lot easier.

Easy quest got mine on second kill, TIP: If you have quest helper a litlle cube will come up on the map where one is i killed my first one waited a couple of seconds cube came up where one was went to location and walla second one

You can't go by the compass on this one.. They are spead out but I found the prize at Alexston Farmstead 34.5 by 48.7
