I've always been curious as to whether the Invisibility Liquor you give Maybell actually applies an invisibility buff when she drinks it. Can, for example, a Warlock use sense invisibility and see her after she drinks? What might she do?

A touch like that would be well in keeping with Blizzard's style.

I always assumed that she goes comatose shortly after drinking it because of a flow in the potion. Then thinks she poisoned herself and it killed her, so he commits suicide, and then when she comes out of it she find her love is dead and she kills herself with his dagger. And then his mother dies of grief at the loss of her son. And after that the MacLure's and Stonefield's make peace and build gold statues of the both of them.
