Description

Deadmire is an ancient crocolisk in Dustwallow marsh. And it is his time to die.

Old bones grind as he pulls his huge body through the swamp, and although he still moves with the strength and speed of youth, his aging body tortures the great spirit within it, a spirit whose flame will not waver.

Yet now he lives in constant, maddening pain. You must end the life of this noble creature, <name>. You must lead Deadmire to peace.

Do you have the tooth of Deadmire, <name>? Have you ended the creature's suffering?

Completion

Very good, <name>.

I am sure the hunt was not easy, but it is good to know the beast's pain has finally ended.

Upon completion of quests, get:

Look for a large white crocolisk roaming the rivers of the Quagmire or the Dragonmurk. He has a pretty big patrol route, so you will likely be doing some running. He's level 45, non-elite, so finding him is the hardest part of the quest.

And if you forget where to turn this in, the guy is on Hunter Rise in Thunder Bluff.

The stretch of river leading north/northeast from STONEMAUL RUINS on your map is where you need to be, he swims up and down that. He is a huge brute, a dull white crocodile that is unmistakable, just check the screen and you'll not miss him. Easily found with Track Beasts as a Hunter.

47, 56 is where he met his end for me.

I've seen Deadmire a couple times now and even killed him for the Horde quest. He seems to be level 41 now, not level 45. The quest is still listed as level 45 though.

Deadmire is level 41 now after patch 2.3 even though the quest stays red. He is a pushover.

The quest now gives 5550 exp.

I won't say he's easy to find, but the macro works when you're closer to him and just haven't spotted him yet.

I've found him 3 times so far, in different locations, but all are close together. It seems his favorite locale is close to and just north of the Stonemaul Ruins. When I tamed him on my hunter, he was at this little donut looking island within sight of the Ruins, to the north. When I killed him for the quest, he was in sight of Tabetha's Farm in the Quagmire, to the northeast of the Ruins. The very first time I saw him when someone else killed him first, he was directly in between these 2 places.

On the map, I've circled the stretch of water I found him in all 3 times.

Currently lvl 41 non-elite, quest gives 4600xp, 250 TB rep, and a few points for guild rep.

Found him at 47,58 (just southeast of Tabetha's Farm) and heading north. His color scheme stands out from the other daggermaw crocolisks around - they are sort of green-brown,and he's very light, almost white.
