Description

I like cooking. Good swamp cooking. Fried green frog legs and the like.

And for cooking, I need spice. Soothing spice. Then I'll make a stew and stew it up and suck it down and give you some too.

Do you like stew?

For Alliance the closest vendor that sells Soothing Spice is Helenia Olden <Trade Supplies> found at 66, 51:

This quest has been changed on the 2.3 PTR. It now requires you to collect legs from the nearby https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=23979 Giant Marsh Frogs instead of the spices.

For those who skimmed the quest text and are looking around for level 35ish giant frogs........

The marsh frogs are level one critters hopping around on the ground nearby Swamplight Manor.

Nobody posted coords so i'm gonna do it:
I found the frogs from 52,24 to 55,26; the legs are 100% drop rate and it's an easy quest.

Happy Hunting...

For hunters: be sure to 'bop em on the head' yourself and don't have your pet do it, you won't be able to loot :)

Do this with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=11180 What's Haunting Witch Hill?. The frogs appear along the river where the undead are, so you might as well get some xp, kill two birds with a stone and turn them both in at the same place.

Alternatively, do https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=11181 The Witch's Bane if you've done the aformentioned quest. They also grow along the river.

When I'm bonking the fogs on the head they each have 4 legs, though when I loot, I only get one...
Now to open a GM ticket and complain! >.<

Update:
GM Ticket: When I bonk marsh frogs on the head they each have 4 legs, but once I loot them, I only find one...
Where are the other 3 legs going? Is this some form of glitch?

<GM Appears in all his RP glory>
GM: Greetings Blackwyn, are you currently available to speak with me?
Blackwyn: Oi!
Blackwyn: I had a question about missing frog legs.
GM: So I see.
GM: The loot table is not glitched and is meant to be one leg per frog.
Blackwyn: But then where are the other three legs going?
GM: Just pretend you damaged them while 'bonking it on the head'
Blackwyn: But... I bonked it on the head.
GM: How bored are you?
Blackwyn: VERY.
GM: lol

Then I was warned not to open bogus GM tickets. Totally. Worth. It.

Solo'd this as a level 39 enhancement shaman. The best thing to do is to only pull 1 mob at a time. If you try to pull more than 1, it'll be tough. I used a lightning bolt to pull one, then dropped stoneskin, magma, mana spring stream, and windfury totems. I needed stoneskin because the frogs would crit in like 20k's. The magma would weaken them. Mana spring was essential, because I needed to keep healing myself which used all my mana. Finally, windfury helped me take them out because I REALLY needed to melee them. I also had to do this when soloing Gamon.

HUNTERS! Make sure you dismiss your pet, or you can't loot the frogs. Can't tell you how long i spent roaring at the frogs in frustration :P

I do not know if anyone has an interest in my story here but:
This food has most HP regeneration for levels 19* and lower!

To bad Jarl doesnt give his recipe away.
Frog legs is the most delicate food I encountered in World of Warcraft so far!

EDIT: *Level 10 to 19

I kept waiting for some raid boss giant frog to come out and tongue-snatch me for laying waste to his devout minions.

Totally love the death animation too...2 feet up into the air and then laid out on their back. Drama. Flair...it has it all.
