Blueleaf Tuber (6)
Crate With Holes
Snufflenose Owner's Manual
Snufflenose Command Stick

Description

Blueleaf tubers are a delicacy around the world! But they're rare, very rare. The only place to find them is here in the Barrens, deep in the earth, in Razorfen Kraul.

And even then, they're impossible to find unless you know just where to look! That's why I've trained these snufflenose gophers to find them for me. They have great noses and can smell a tuber from fifty paces away.

It won't be easy, but if you get me some tubers I'll pay you handsomely.

Okay, it took some time and clicking to actually locate a nice area, but here it is:

After you enter the dungeon, travel along the tunel until your first T-junction.

Take the LEFT path

Go along until you come to what appears to be a dead-end ledge. There is actually a large green wine to your RIGHT, which is a bridge.

Taking this bridge.

The area directly at the end of this bridge is blueleaf tuber country. Once I summoned the snufflenose, I didn't even need to move. Just keep clicking on the command stick.

For those of you having trouble locating them, the crate, manual and control stick are beside mizzyrix. Outside the general store in Ratchet.

I'd wait until the instance is cleared a litle bit before attempting this, as the gophers can clip through walls and aggro enemies.

I've found the best place for the tubers is in the run you escort Willix the Importer through. Doing that, I have yet to encounter the wall clipping problem. Also, found out today you can use all five charges in the same run, whether you've lost a gopher or not, and summoning again when you have one out -does not- make the first gopher go away. I had a herd of five gophers following me by the end of the instance. :)

THE QUEST NOW WORKS!

Patch 2.43 was just released today, and I can confirm that the notes ""Blueleaf Tubers can now be properly looted"" is in fact, true.

I followed the directions from ""kreghx"" above, except I got my Blueleaf Tubers on the vein bridge itself, not on the area after it. It's very easy, just used my ""Crate with Holes"" once to get a gopher out, then used my ""Command Stick"" six times so that 6 Blueleaf Tubers appeared.

Turning the quest in awarded me only 320 experience at level 50, but it gave me 500 reputation with Ratchet, double the currently listed 250 reputation.

not sure what's p but when i tried to run a guildy through this quest (she said she had trouble with it)

So i brought her to where kreghx directed and i found it and all, but she couldn't summon gopher or use the crate. I personally never did this quest, but what i reckon was that you had to sumon a gopher and use the stick on it where it will then dig out tuber for you (correct me if i am wrong)

anyhows, her main drama is that she can't get the gopher out. And yes, she did right click/left click it...

is the bug still there? any help would be much appreciated

well, i asked my friend to just keep trying while i cleared out the area for her, but still no. =/ ah well, i think she gave up on it. Not worth the hassle, altough we (me) already did clear most of the starting area (read the post 20 mintues into the instance)

I found the tubes in the lower floor by willix the importer under the stand the boss is standing. Do the tubes first then pickup willix quest. Also, it seems that the gophers are the same lvl as the caster and take no damage. They make a great decoy in that area.

Done and Complete! Although kreghx directions can be misleading, you NEED to use the crates ON the vine/bridge.

After this is done, use the command stick ALONG the vine/bridge, and repeat, as long as you command on the vine/bridge

After a short period of time, the Blueleaf Tuber will emerge from the ground, and loot!

Hope this clears up any mishaps for this quest.

Well i'm alot confused with the Quest even though i have read all the comments above.

To those who getting despair of doing this Quest here my tips.

- Do Escort Willix the Importer quest first then remember his way out because your Blueleaf Tuber quest will be done there . The easiest way i think.

- After the way is cleared and the above Quest is done then turn back to the rout and put the Crate ... which is a box you have been provided on a shortcut and spam it. Then it will summon a pet. Summon 1 is ok for the whole Quest.

-Command the pet to find the plants ( i dont know what it is but it's look like a plant ) by your Command stick ( provided).

- Relax and wait for the pet find it out and take it. When you get 1 use the command stick again and the pet will find it for you. And so on.

- Go back to Rachet when you done and took the Crate with holes next to the Quest giver and talk to him again. You done.

This quest is VERY easy to complete, especially if the dungeon has already been cleared. I left this quest until after the final boss was killed. Then, I jumped down below his tower, summoned a gopher and began hunting the tubers. Took very little time to get all 6 and then I just used my hearthstone to get out.

Location is 40,87 in The Barrens

I found my area here:

After you enter the dungeon, travel along the tunel until your first T-junction.

Take the LEFT path

Go along until you come to what appears to be a dead-end ledge. There is actually a large green wine to your RIGHT, which is a bridge.

STOP before the bridge.

Here use the Crate (you can only use it if there are Blueleaf nearby)

Use the stick on the gopher, pick the blueleaf.

Use the stick again etc.

Happy hunting.

I am not sure when they changed this, but at level 80 when I summoned a gopher it was also level 80 and had 5.3k health. Therefore, there was absolutely no danger of my gopher getting killed by the boars in the trench.

easy way to do this quest without making your group wait up for you:

kill the final boss
beside her tower (to the right if facing it) you'll see 3 rocks
summon the gopher between them
profit?

If you're not getting any, click the stick, then wait. It takes a few seconds for the tubers to appear. Don't spam it or the little guy gets confused and bugs. I ended up with one frozen in inaction on the bridge :(
