Description

Great, finally something that doesn't want to eat me!

I need help handling the critters around here, and you fit the mold, buddy.

The cook Morgan Stern is researching a new recipe, and he sent me out here to gather bogbean leaves. I guess he thinks they're tasty.

Anyway, while looking for a bogbean plant... I got myself surrounded! Can you help me out of here, and watch my back as I look for the bogbean?

Tried to do this quest today. I had cleared all of the raptors nearby for another quest, and talked to Stinky, accepted his quest. He stood there for a minute without moving, then disappeared.

I abandoned the quest, waited for him to reappear, accepted the quest again, and the same thing happened.

Waited for him to respawn again without abandoning the quest, and he reappeared 3-4 minutes later, said something like ""Ah, there's one! Come, (someone who isn't me)! Let's go over there and collect it!"" and a minute after that, he despawned again.

Definitely not fixed yet.

Oke, it's a bit easy quest. Just protect him from mobs. Full kill raptors area is not really needed. He search for a herb near the water a bit southeast.
Then he walk to the path, and it's done. It's just short search path and it's done.

Sounds not much work. And let him walk forward so he stops and attack with me against mobs.

I just solo'd this quest a 34 ret paladin, and it was really pretty easy. I had cleared just about all the raptors around the questgiver for the quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=11146 Raptor Captor, and then Stinky's escape path only made me deal with 3 more mobs (spiders and crocolisks around the creek). There was at least a minute between each mob, because my Hammer of Justice cooldown was up with each one. I didn't even have to heal myself up or drink. After those mobs, he then found the bog plant he was looking for, headed for the road, and the quest completed at 49,25.

Hmm, does this quest actually works? For me this quest is definitely bugged (as of today) because as soon as I accept the quest nothing happened. Ignaz haven't moved.

And he even disappeared when I was near him and I wanted to clicked on him.

This quest is easy, just complete Raptor Captor first, that will clean up the area, then start the escort.

I went to the place where he spawned and he wasn't there. After waiting a couple of seconds he spawned and kneeled down. I got his quest and accepted it. He just stood there for a few seconds, then disappeared. I noticed on my map that QuestHelper put a mark by the road where the quest ends so I ran there and sure enough, there he was, leaving the area. He reached to road, and thanked a completely different player for his help and ran off, and I got no credit.

EDIT: I waited for him to respawn and tried again. This time, I noticed that even though he stood there, he was still ""talking"" and saying the name of the person he had thanked previously. Again I ran and met him at his despawn point and he thanked the same player again.

I've found that the best time to do this quest is right after a server reset. That unbugs him. The sooner after the reset you do it, the less time the quest has to bug out. When I went there a few minutes ago after the reset he was fine. Someone else was completing the quest, I waiting for him to respawn and did it without a hitch. Tuesday is the best day for this guy.

i did this quest today, found it while doing raptor captor, very easy, had to kill about 5 raptors, no hastle at all.

No bugs to report, a few of my friends have done it recently too and it worked fine for them

Also found the Feast in the blue recluse inn in SW whilst there on other business, very nice touch that they actually throw a feast in your honor, will need to keep this feast quest on other chars and use it on guild events or special celebrations, i could see it bringing that little bit extra to an in-game celebration.

Just tried it for the third time. He spawns, kneels, and walks away. Regardless of when I accepted the quest, he did not aggro a thing and walked himself to the road where he says his thanks and runs off, with the quest still incomplete. He clearly does not need any assistance.

Be careful, while I was clearing the area, a lvl 38 rare raptor named Dart was racing around the hill where Stinky's standing. Had I gone back two seconds earlier to initiate the quest, he would've jumped me.

Even if he is bugged when you find him, there is a way to complete this quest (requires patience).

If you go to his spawn point and wait for him there, and if you manage to immediately click on him and accept the quest the moment he spawns (within 1-2 seconds), you can complete the quest. You can tell if you were fast enough by getting into combat; if he helps you, you got it, if not, try again. He may still call you by the name of the player who bugged him out last, but when he gets to the road you will get credit.

As a bonus for other players, if you do this and complete the quest, you un-bug him and the quest is fixed (until someone else messes it up, that is).

Use the following macro to accept the quest once you right click Stinky.

/script AcceptQuest()</pre>Stinky will follow a different route (from the bugged route) and will attack mobs you attack if you were sucessful in starting the real quest. But he will still call you by the name of the person who bugged him.

Trying to find Morgan Stern to hand in my completed quest, but due to whatever scenario/quest progress I've done, Theramore is in Ruins! No NPC's at all. Will this be a problem for ""Loremaster""?

EDIT: oops. Found the answer under ""Loremaster of Kalimdor / Dustwallow Marsh Quests"" - speak to Zidormi the time-phaser at bridge leading out of city :).

This is the Alliance version of the quest. The Horde version is https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1270"">(Quest #1270).

Only the Horde version grants reputation with Ratchet and the other goblin towns.
