Description

Great, finally something that doesn't want to eat me!!

I need help handling the critters around here, and you fit the mold, buddy.

A goblin from Ratchet named Mebok Mizzyrix needs some bogbean leaves for a potion, or something... I honestly don't care why -- his money was good and I know this swamp, so here I am.

Too bad I got myself surrounded before I found the bogbean! Can you help me out of here, and watch my back as I look for Mebok's plant?

Completion

Stinky was here with the herbs I ask of him, and he told me you helped him out of a bind. Good work! A friend of Stinky's is a friend of mine!

He asked me to give you this if I ever saw you, right before he walked back south toward the marsh.

You can find Stinky at 45,17. He wanders around the swamp a bit until he finds the Bogbean Leaves. There aren't any ambushes, but there will be some mobs in the area unless you've already killed them. He gets onto a road at 49,25 and the quest is completed.
Then head over to 62,37 in The Barrens to turn-in.

Just completed this quest without any bugs.
Pretty easy quest, no spawning ambushes and only had to kill the odd crocodilisk.

I contacted a GM about the problem of Stinky disappearing (Stormscale) and the quest not activating, hopefully the problem is solved soon :).

From what I can tell, if someone failed the quest after the Bogbean Plant spawns, but before he interracts with it (and thus despawns it), the plant remains perma-spawned, and bugs the quest out for everyone else who tries to start it. After talking to Stinky to start the quest he disappears, only to reappear on the main road nearby the Bogbean Plant, and run off as though you had completed the quest.

I have just petitioned a GM, and am awaiting their response - but I believe to fix the problem they need to despawn the Bogbean Plant.

Stinky is really bad about leaving you with mobs to fight, just a forewarning. At least, he seemed it more than other escorts I have done in the past.

While completing this quest I found myself often saying aloud ""Stinky? Stinky! I have 18 raptors chewing on my face! Little help?""

If this happens, just make sure to run the mob closer to Stinky and let it attack you there. He should finally realize what's happening and help out.

still bugged. seems like 3 years hasn't been enough to get this fixed -.- he thanks some other player upon spawning and mumbles some random stuff and disappears suddenly

Just did the quest to get Ratchet Rep. However I did not get any Ratchet Rep... the quest completed and sent me to Theramore to turn the quest in.

Unless there are 2 different turn in options, and I didn't see the Ratchet option. It appears this quest has been changed as of 4.1 and no longer gives Ratchet Rep.

Edit: Just realized that it's listed as a horde quest in the list of Ratchet quests. I didn't notice this at first. It might still give rep for ratchet for horde. It exsists for Alliance, but does not give Ratchet rep. Sad day for Alliance.

Just completed this quest today and found that is does give the 250 Ratchet rep along with 125 for each of the other 3 (BB, E, G) - This does not include and rep gains from your guild level or race.

This is the Horde version of the quest. The Alliance version is https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1222"">(Quest #1222).

Only the Horde version grants reputation with Ratchet and the other goblin towns.
