Search for the Temple of Atal'Hakkar

Description

There was a time when I was young and full of vigor like you, <class>.

But now I'm old and unable to explore the world like I once did. Ah, the things I saw!

But there was one mystery that eluded me. For my final quest, the Explorers' League sent me in search of The Temple of Atal'Hakkar. It was rumored to be located in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Because of my frail state, I traveled the skies by gryphon in search of it but never found it.

Help an old dwarf out? Perhaps you will have better luck on foot.

Progress

I have traveled the world from the jungles of Azeroth to the snowy peaks of Khaz Modan.

Never before have I asked for help in my adventures. But my old bones are tired.

Nothing would leave me feeling more satisfied than knowing that I completed my final quest for the Explorers' League

If you'd be so kind as to help me search for the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, <class>, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Scour the Swamp of Sorrows and report back with your findings!

Completion

The Temple of Atal'Hakkar has been sunk beneath the Pool of Tears? And surrounded by the green dragonflight?

An amazing discovery, <class>. But obviously something has gone terribly wrong.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 360 experience (21 60 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Ironforge
  • 75 Reputation with Stormwind

All you have to do is go to the Swamp of Sorrows and begin to swim out towards the temple, and you will see the quest complete text come up. Easy Cheesy.

You should try doing this quest along with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9610 Pool of Tears, which is picked up in the Harborage in northern-western Swamp of Sorrows (along with other quests!). Pool of Tears is a little more involving as you have to collect artifacts, but it's not horribly difficult.

This definitely ranks up there as one of the more annoying, commute-tastic questlines in WoW. The fact that part of it involves getting random animal body parts for a Dwarf in the Hinterlands to drink from Tanaris and Feralas is truly icing on the cake. If Blizzard cut the whole ""https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1452 Rhapsody's Kalimdor Kocktail"" quest out of this questline, it would be a godsend.

It wasn't that easy for me. I swam up to the temple, walked in and went all the way into the instance... nothing. Then, I came here and read the comments and while walking out through a narrow hallway that I had passed through before, I got credit.

I just got in the lake and it told me I'd completed the quest. This doesn't really require a group too.

These quests all count towards https://vanillawowdb.com/?achievement=1676 Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms even though one leg of the chain sends you to Kalimdor. The chain is worth doing if you need those last few quests, since almost all of them are ""travel here, travel there"" type quests. Loooong travel, but still, pretty low-key.
