Call of Earth

Find Kodo Rock and drink the Earth Sapta.
Provided Item:
Earth Sapta

Description

A sapta is a drink created to bind our spirits to the elements. Fused with magic, the potion will allow the open minded to see the elements as no one has seen them before. Your spirit will forever be tied to the element the sapta was created for, and only a select few of our kind know the secrets of its creation.

The sapta is always imbibed in a holy place, and never anywhere else.

Seek out the shaman shrine to the east of here and drink of the sapta.

Completion

Ah... <name>... pleased is the earth to have you here.

Bound together in body and spirit, you will go forward knowing that the mountains are your strength; the plains, your patience; and the world itself your essence.

Standing before the earth humbly is all that is required of you for you to pass this rite. But the others are not as passive. They may be chaotic and often violent, but such is the nature of the elements. Dual natures opposing one another, you must come to learn these things intricately.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 180 experience (1 8 at max. level)

Kodo Rock is at 53, 80. If you head down to the well where Greatmother Hawkwind and go directly East you will see it, big rock with a Symbol on it.

Make sure to talk to the Minor Manifestation of Earth before he disappears, or you will have to do the quest all over again.

I copied this across from the comments on the equivalent quest for orc/troll shaman. Seemed it belonged here better, although I can't comment on the usefulness, as I haven't tried tauren shaman.

From here down is copied directly from Waalken's comment...

Really easy way for Tauren Shaman from another site (user watlymazi)...

For those having as much trouble finding this as I did, I decided to write a clear guide to help everyone in the future to save them the frustration.

The pillar is VERY close to the well with the old shaman lady (her name is ""Greatmother Hawkwind""). [There are a few wells in the Mulgore zone, so in case you've gotten lost: this well is nextdoor to Camp Narache, about 100 steps south east).]

One oddity about this pillar is that you usually can't see it in the distance until you are right next to it.

If you can't find the pillar, here's a description of it's location:

Notice how the landscape here has many small hills and mounds; the pillar is upon one of these. A hint to find out which mound it lies upon is this simple fact: the mound with the pillar has a small circle of dirt on top. You can simply spot it from either the well or even from Narache. Take about 10 steps north of the well, then head east about 50 steps.

Just so anyone who reads this doesn't feel stupid after they realize how easy it was... I think it's a mistake on blizzards part for making the pillar stay invisible until you are right next to it, they needed a better description in the quest. Some people just got lucky by hitting it, but others ran way past it and got completely confused.

What if I drink the sapta AFTER talking to the minor? I did that, and I didn't see anything:S But he gave me the crystal or what, to give it to the questgiver. When I realised that I did something wrong, I abandoned the quest, but now I can't re-accept it! WTF should I do? I need help!

Ignore Straightkill, their is NOTHING in the way of elementals to kill to do this quest. You probably WILL have to kill a few battleboars around the stone before you can speak with the elemental, (and thus complete the quest), without being attacked however.

It's an object, so view range will affect when you can see it. I have a crap g-card, so I had to practically be standing on top of it to see it.

hope it helps ^_^

Note: If you happen to be a Tauren, don't pay attention to Carbonite or many other addons: they will try to lead you all the way to the Troll and Orc starting zone. Figured this one out like a smart kid after about 35 minutes.

Go to the spot everyone is saying and right click on the sapta if you're close enough and you'll end up drinking it and the minor will appear and give you another quest.
