Celebrate Hallow's End in style... by bringing grief to our enemies in Southshore!

Take one of these specially crafted stink bombs. It is filled with an odiferous funk that no human - or any weak-willed beast for that matter - can stand to smell. You'll need to throw it right in the heart of Southshore for it to do its job, so be prepared for a fight against the Alliance!

When you've completed this task... this tribute to our liberation, return to me!

Progress

Have you delivered our "gift" to the people of Southshore?

<Darkcaller Yanka laughs wickedly.>

Completion

Ah, well done! I hope the Alliance chokes on the foul gift we've given them, much like we were forced to choke on the yoke of enslavement to the Scourge!

You've kept the ideas of Hallow's End true, <name>, and for that I salute you. As an extra bonus, let me share some of these Hallow's End treats I have with you. I think you might find them to be quite the enjoyable diversion!

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 165 experience (9 90 at max. level)

An easy way to finish up this quest would be sneaking from the South West of Southshore.

Stay close to the building opposite the inn and throw from there. You'll have to kill a lvl45 guard each time you throw or just throw em all and run off.

Just did this quest on my alt, level 25 BE hunter, was quite easy. Just ran in to Southshore from South and died in the middle of the town. So i ran back to my body and ressed on the 2nd level of the inn at two level 15 mobs. Killed them and used the item, Headstone out of there.

As of 2008 the range on the bombs has been decreased, you have to be right in town to work it

Died after getting the keg in the inn, then rezzed upstairs next to Hemmit and Tamara, used stink bombs in the corner.
Hope this helps.

Be mindful that the quest won't complete if you're in a raid group, and it will waste the charges on your stink bombs!

If you come from the southwestern dock side of Southshore, you can walk up to the south side of the entrance to the town hall and thrown the bombs without aggroing any guards or causing any guards to spawn.

49.59 are the coordinates of the spot I used. Also, throwing the bombs does not flag you for PvP, so as long as you don't attack any NPCs, other players shouldn't be able to stop you from completing this quest.

Waited until a horde of zombies swarmed the town, went in, planted the bombs and left, Alliance was too busy with the ghouls to even notice.

Just finished this today, you can sneak around the left side of the inn and throw the bombs down, I couldn't actually find the keg inside the Inn so I ended up running up and down the stairs and into the cellar with about 10 guards hitting me and 3 confused members of the alliance following me. I found the keg whilst on the stairs, a yellow question mark seemed to show through the stairs so i just clicked on that and ran, I guess the Keg is below the stairs.

Did just as a poster described above.

I was on my 32 Mage, got close enough to the Inn and rezed in the room with the 2 lvl15 NPC's. When I rezed, I was able to eat/drink without interruption then planted the first bomb. The 2 NPC's aggro'd when I did this, I killed them and placed the other 2 bombs in the same room, mission complete.

Walked down to the stairs and noticed the ""?"" sticking through the top part of the stairs, clicked it and completed that mission.

Easy stuff!

Just did this, and did not get flagged. Leisurely walk into middle of town, 3 stink bombs, then stroll into inn to kegs. Couldn't be easier. Not sure if that is the intent, though...

On my 80 druid, I did not get flagged getting the keg or doing the bombs. So I went in on my 80 paladin, and he got flagged somewhere while getting the keg. I think it may have been due to guard aggro (no, I didn't have Ret Aura up). However, I found approaching from the water and standing behind the signpost, I was able to avoid guard aggro and drop the stinkbombs without getting flagged. Which was great, because Alliance were camping all horde just trying to do their quest.

Level 80 Sneaky-Evil, No Pain Method (For folks who are allergic to PvP)

Are you sneaky? Invisible? Prowly? Stealthy? (There are reports that claim that a potion of lesser invisibility will work. Not sure on this)

Step 1: Stink 'em up! (May be possible without sneaking)

Head to town hall. It's directly across from the inn. Can't miss it. Biggest building on the southwest side of Southshore. Back yourself into the corner on the south side of the doorway, where that attaches to the main building. Got your tail end in that corner? No guard response, no problems chucking stink bombs! The alliance were all taunting me and calling me chicken as I chucked chokers. Toss one on them and watch them let it all go.

Step 2: Eggin' them on...

Sneak into the inn. Go right, behind the lady, and up the landing of the stairs. Don't stray too far toward the stairs down. You can click on the question mark itself through the stairs. Finish the quest and accept the new one. Dance with the alliance (optional), then sneak out.

No pain. All gain!

Remember: The Horde -HAVE- to PvP for these quests unless we are sneaky. The Alliance just clean up stink and run past a big scarecrow, all without ever needing to flag.

you know it annoyed me that so many alliance swarmed to kill me when I wasnt even finished with the quest, just let me do my part then get credit for doing yours, its that simple. &gt;&lt; Its not like I was attacking back, I was trying to run from those attacking me. I did have a few people bow to me as I passed tho. :P

The keg is on top of the stack across the main room in the inn as you walk in. If you start up the stairs it is on your left. They are NOT upstairs or downstairs.

Alliance now have a https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=34561"">(NPC #34561) who spawns at the Southshore inn and lobs stink bombs for them to clean up. Thus, they don't need to wait for you. This may have consequences for Horde trying to complete this quest as well as https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8322"">(Quest #8322). While the reduced wait time means there will probably be fewer bored Alliance hanging around, the ones who are there will be less motivated to let you finish without hassling you. Just something to keep in mind.

For lower level rogues, a tip is to go in when you've seen at least one other person, preferably a dk charge the town. I'm not sure if this works on my server, but on mine we've had warriors and dks randomly charge and run around the town with allies chasing after them. Made it very easy to do the quests.

edit: spelling

If you want to do this quest without the hassle of the other faction, do it late at night. It's currently 1:12 am and i've just completed it with ease due to there being no Alliance around :D

So, do it late at night one time.

The quest itself really isn't that hard. It's just on the way I somehow got flagged. And there is like ten level 80's camping there. I'm only 74 and every time I rez they all attack me. Even when I try running away. So I think I am just going to do this late at night when no one should be there. Probably your best.

had immense trouble with this. On a Prot Paladin level 80 even. Running around town, having to kill a DK who kept coming back trying to prevent me, while I attempted to find out WHERE I could plant these stupid bombs.

I don't know what is going on for me. You get flagged automatically as you approach (otherwise the quest would be FAR too easy), but the problem comes from the drop zones they have in which you can place these bombs. I was standing in the middle of the town, between the inn and the town hall, and I STILL couldn't place the bombs. The inn didn't work either. I finally found a small place, just north of the inn, where I placed all 3 of them. I don't know what they did to it this year, as I had no problem doing this last year on my druid.

Took me 4 kills of the poor Death Knight before I managed to find the place and place them all. When the text ""Southshore"" appears, you are in Southshore. Stop telling me that I need to be in Southshore to use it, when the map tells me I am IN Southshore. This quest is very poorly worded, as is the error message you get when using the item in the wrong place.

Did this quest yesterday. What I did was first commit suicide, since two rogues were camping me, next to the Southshore Inn. Then, I simply resurrected upstairs and threw the stink bombs and it worked. To me, it's the best place to throw your bombs.
