The Shade of Elura

Bring 8 loads of Elunite Ore and the Medallion of Elura to Elanaria in Darnassus.

Description

You have learned much, <name>. Now we will craft you a weapon. A warrior's weapon.

To do this, you must travel to Darkshore.

Long ago a ship crashed upon the rocks near the Auberdine lighthouse, scattering many crates of elunite ore along the ocean floor.

First, you must defeat the elunite's guardian, the Shade of Elura. Once the ship's captain, she cursed herself to roam the deeps and protect her shipment for all time. Defeat her, gain her medallion, and gather the crates of lost Elunite.

Have you defeated the Shade of Elura, <name>? And do you have the lost elunite ore?

Completion

Bravely done, <name>.

You have given the Shade of Elura much deserved peace, and we will use the gathered elunite to make a fine weapon for you.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 850 experience (5 10 at max. level)

Found the ship inbetween the port and the island in Darkshore.
it is at 31,44.....and it is better if you can have elixir of water breathing.

The crates are in a wide circle around the ship. Some as far as the turtle's head and under the dock.

Judging by the rewards for the followup quest, this is a WARRIOR ONLY quest. If you happen to find the NPC ""Shade of Elura"" by the ship wreckage off the docks of Darkshore, ignore the trouble of killing her unless you've got this warrior quest.

Got dissapointed with this 3 quest chain I was really hoping for the reputation with Darnassus, none of these quests give any rep anymore for all those warrs that are not nelf that thought it be a easy 2,268 rep bonus .

Hey i posted a pic of where this ship is. This quest took me so long to find but i eventually found it. You gotta dive to the bottom of the watter and find these shiny boxes. Then killin the girl was easy to find cuz shes the only thing walking on the bottom ;)

Yea it was really easy for me to find, i just jumped of the dock. the sunken ship is right underneth the boat to stormwind ^-^

Lighthouse my wiggly ears! :)

Try the south end of the pier. Where you catch the boat for Stormwind City.

Gotta kill the Shade of Elura in the wreck, before the crates of Elunite Ore appear around and under the pier. I found about half of the crates between the wreck and the pier.

I found the shipwreck and ore exactly as described above - was able to collect ore w/out killing the Shade. Also, Elura was well hidden inside the ship's mast that sticks up out of the bottom! I used ""/target shade"" to locate her.

On a side note, I was run over by the ship to SW. Contrary to my expectation, the bottom of the ship was not solid - I could see up into the ship and see the players on the deck from below!
Also, there is an anvil beneath the dock - whats up with that?

The reference to the lighthouse in the quest threw me off. To find the boat, jump off the southern arm of the pier at Auberdine.
