Sarah's Ring

Description

Here, take this and lay it on his grave. Maybe... somehow, he'll know that I'm okay, and that none of us hold him responsible for what happened.

<There are tears in her eyes now, as she slides a ring from her right hand, and presses it into your hands.>

And... thank you, <name>.

Reward

You will receive:
Archeus

Progress

Leave me be...

Completion

<A ghostly voice sounds on the wind...>

This is...? Sarah? Could it be she's still alive? The weight is removed from my shoulders...

<name>. Take my sword, Archeus. As my soul is put to rest, I have no more need for it. It was forged to do good, and though I have proved myself unworthy to hold it, perhaps you will carry on the Light through it.

Lys, my love...

Alliance Side Only
Minimum Required Level: 28

Upon returning to the Grave where the whole chain started you will be rewarded. (Grave co-ords {17,29})

I would say that this was a excelent end to a great quest chain.

The sword is great if you can use it. Totally worth doing the quests.

In my opinion, this is more of a paladin quest then the paladin quest for that hammer (though an RPers eyes anyway.)

it doesn't feel right that as a paladin, you have to go out and get the supplies to give to someone so you can get a cool hammer. When you could do this quest and get a cool sword while doing a good deed (though to start off the paladin quest, you save someone's life and farm. But still)

The weapons you get from both arn't too far off damage wise, and this has a cool proc (which as a SoC paladin, I like more than stats). The Hammer has 4 more max damage (same min) and is .1 faster than archeus, and it has 6 stam and some intelect (7?).

I don't know the level on the hammer, but I know the level on archeus is 35, meening you can enchant it with the new enchants that can be gotten from BC.

Meh, I guess it's just an opinion thing, but I think this quest is better as a paladin quest then the lvl 22 paladin quest, and the weapon is a better paladin weapon than the paladin weapon (and it's good in the hands of a warrior too XD)

This quest almost brought me to tears, it's actually a really well thought out quest line, I know I'm keeping the sword and the book of his history.

The end of this questchain actually made me cry myself. Maybe it's silly to do so, but I'm a romantic for it. Soloed it throughout the questchain at level 34 as a feral spec druid. Still, a wonderfully sad ending to an awesome questline.

Upon completing the quest...

Morgan Ladimore says: My sword Archeus served me well in life, but as at last my spirit may pass from the unhappy existance, I need it no longer.
Morgan Ladimore says: I shall cling to the love of my daugter and hope that I will find forgiveness under the Light for my sins.

This quest makes me want to see an upcoming Caverns of Time: Old Duskwood.
The whole zone gives me the chills and every time I level an alt, I always go to Duskwood because of the lore and the quests.
It would be nice to see the town that became Darkshire, Lys &amp; Morgan Ladimore and their children, maybe Blind Mary, Stalvan and the others.

I think that's a fantastic idea.

The Infinite Dragonflight could try to stop Jitters from finding the Scythe of Elune, thereby keeping him from accidentally releasing doom upon Duskwood.

With Duskwood being a forever happy place, the majority of the alliance's heroes would have never gotten powerful, and would therefore never been able to intervene in the dragonflight's other attacks on the Caverens of Time. It could also have implications with the upcoming worgen race in the Cataclysm expansion.

I can see it now. It'd start in Darkshire --(I forget what it was called then)--, you'd talk to some of the old residents, Mor'Ladim, Sven, Mary-the-soon-to-be-blind, Morbent Fel, Ambercrombie and his wife, and finally, Jitters.

Jitters leaves for work in the mines and it's your task to protect him along the way. After a long walk, --(Duskwood is overly huge when going west to east.)-- Jitters enters the mine and proceeds to find the Scythe. He pulls it out, and from there on you have to defend him from Worgen, Undead, and Dragons until he flees to Raven Hill, scythe still in tow. -- (The Scythe of Elune's power would give an excuse for why he can suddenly take on mobs several times his normal level.)-- Along the way, you run into a drake, disguised as a human, talking Morbent Fel out of pursuing necromancy, you expose the fraud for what he is, Morbent flees, the drake's words losing effect on him. You then dispatch the drake and continue along your way

Waiting for you there is a smaller caster-type dragon boss, who has stopped a large group of worgen from destroying the town and now has them under his control. You've got to kill him, and continue to escort Jitters to Sven's farm, where, just outside the farm, there's one final wave of worgen, and eventually the ""boss"" worgen, who is under the control of another infinite dragon.

Upon beating him, Jitters enters the barn, Chromie (or some generic bronze drake) takes the Scythe, vowing to take it to where ever it should have been, and Duskwood's tragic future is sealed.

My only issue with this idea is the lack of a horde equivalent.

IGNORE THE RED ENTRY !

This quest is NOT obsolete. You can still obtain this quest by finishing the quest chain starting at the gravestone north of the Raven Hill Cemetery - approx 17/29. You might want to swing around the back of the main cemetery to get there. The quest chain is as follows:

The Weathered Grave
Morgan Ladimore
Mor'Ladim
The Daughter Who Lived
A Daughter's Love
