Kill Chok'sul and bring his head to Magistrate Bluntnose of Thelsamar.

Description

By order of the Magistrate of Thelsamar:

Chok'sul, the ogre presumed to be the leader and coordinator of attacks against the town of Thelsamar, Stonewrought Dam, and the excavation site, is wanted dead through any means necessary.

Monetary compensation will be provided when proof is brought to the Magistrate of Chok'sul's death.

Chok'sul was last seen at the ogre encampment in the northeastern part of Loch Modan.

It should be noted that he is still Elite as of 2.3 but I kite pulled his adds out individually and was then able to solo him on my second try on my 20 warrior.

I just did this with my 19 SP. You can't pull them all separate the first time, but the second time you can pull the guard before Chok Sul. I can't do it. Tried it, and he kills me too easily.

Just did with 19 Druid in Bear as tank and 22 S Priest as healer. Only one wipe, which was on his 3 adds alone. They resisted two growls in a row causing healer to die and me to die. Easy though

I *managed* to stupidly pull all 3 as a 22 pally and somehow took them down without dying. Used my LoH, but no potions.

Soloed as 22 rogue, quest was yellow.
You can safely pull mobs until he has two adds left.
Sap add, kill the other add, vanish, sap add, kill Chok'sul, kill add.
I used 1 potion.

Seriously, if you're making a caster-alt, you REALLY should get a 70 (or 80, now) buddy to run you through this. Just stay back and make an 'i've got aggro again"" macro.

You get a caster ring and a caster pair of boots at level 9. This is prolly the best early-on quest to cheat your way through.

Soloed as 22 shaman. You have to pull carefully to get the 2 brutes on their own -- watch the way they path and wait for Chok'sul to be in the back and the brute on your right to be far forward.

Soloed as lvl 21 shadow priest. Kept myself shielded and feared him whenever fear was off CD.

Soloed as level 17 Warlock. Killed the adds first and died, then just ran back and finnished him off, was red 2 me:) Quite a challenge.

Just killed Chok'sul as a level 18 Shadow Priest with the help from a level 19 Warrior. Had 3 adds on us as well, was able to kill everyone w/out dying. :-) No Potions were used.

I did this with a lvl 14 bm hunter, 15 prot pally, and 15 Destro warlock. The hunter sent his wolf and the warlock sent the Voidwalker to tank, and the pally just did extra damage while healing if the lock or huntard gained agroo. Took 2 tries but finally did it.

It should be noted that since this quest is level 9 minimum,you can get a nice pair of mail shoulders before you hit level 10! if you dont have heirlooms,and you can get an 80 to help you with this quest,these will be the only good shoulders you can get until level 16ish

There is a small ledge across the room that will reset the mobs if you are in trouble.

I don't think they are tethered, I sheep'd the big guy and only one of the adds agrro'd.

as of patch 4.0.1 Chok'sul is still a lvl 22 elite. his guards were just regular brutes that were easy enough at lvl 20, but he's a massive sonofa that hits hard and has a helluvalotta hp

as of the shattering, Chok'Sul is not in the Mo'Grash cave. His Disciple is, even though in game it still says that's where Chok'Sul is.

Chok'Sul appears to have moved on leaving Gor'kresh. The wanted Poster now has someone else on it. The Gor'kresh quest is gained from Ashlan Stonesmirk, near the Ogre mound. http://thottbot.com/quest=27078 http://thottbot.com/quest=27078

The quest has been removed and these items are no longer atainable. No more awesome bracers or leggings. I was having a hard time deciding which one I was gonna pick for my pally anyway...
