Description

I'm on a quest, a quest to make the perfect stout. I know I can do it -- brewing's in my blood. I just need to find the right recipe...

The Frostmane trolls grow a plant, shimmerweed, high up in the hills to the east. They use it in their strange, tribal rituals. We dwarves haven't found much use for it, but it has a unique taste...and I want to experiment with it in my brews!

Get me some shimmerweed from Frostmane seers, or swipe it from the trolls' shimmerweed baskets.

You find the camp going from the Iceflow lake up, you pass the cave with the bears and then you turn right. As said, some weed get droped by seers, others you find in baskets.
the Seers are 8 and 9 lvl

This is a tough quest. Took some retreating as a lvl 7 pally. It is very easy to get three or four mobs on you at once.

While the baskets were easier to get to when many people were doing these quests, it is much safer just to farm the trolls from drops, instead of trying to get the baskets. Your safest bet is to just avoid densely populated areas of trolls, and just kill the loners all along the cliff edges.

What worked best for me: go up the ramp, go right, follow the ridge. Next to the trees there are some baskets with shimmerweed that you can open without pulling any seers on you. Continue along the ridge, killing seers and finding another basket with shimmerweed that you can open without getting attacked. With a little luck, you will have enough shimmer weed. If not, then wait for seers to respawn or just attack the group of three.

This is a difficult quest if you're a warrior and very impatient. >.< Yer better off grinding off mobs for the lost XP if you drop it.

Recently, while I was grinding rep for Gnomeregan Exiles and Ironforge, I accepted the quest, and the drop rate seems to be very high. It took me 8 kills and 3 baskets to get the 6 Shimmerweed I needed. The only reason I killed the last two is because they were with another in the cave. Very easy quest for quick reputation.

Leveling a warlock and I find that I tend to aggro more than one at a time. The way to deal with this is to use your imp to attack whichever mob your not attacking, causing that mob to attack the imp. This can easily take 2-3 off your back to be dealt with later as you solo the mobs one at a time.
