A Noble Brew

Zardeth the Black Claw wants you to bring him a Tear of Tilloa from Darkshire and a Musquash Root from the Wetlands.
Tear of Tilloa
Musquash Root

Description

Lord Wishock is causing quite a stir amongst the House of Nobles. He was made aware of our little "establishment" down here and is lobbying for a full investigation. I have a plan to keep Wishock "preoccupied," but I'll need your help.

There is a flower growing in the Garden of Stalvan on the outskirts of Darkshire. This small white flower is known as the Tear of Tilloa. I will also need a Musquash Root, found only at the very base of the falls far beneath the Stonewrought Dam in the Wetlands.

Reward

Also, you get: 25

Progress

Wishock will soon garner enough support to cause us much grief. Were you able to obtain the Tear of Tilloa or Musquash Root yet?

Completion

Most excellent! These are fine samples indeed!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 245 experience (14 70 at max. level)

The Tear of Tilloa is at Manor Mistmantle, north of Duskshire. It's a small bundle of flowers in the fenced-in area next to Stalvan's house; it might be a bit hard to spot.

The Musquash Root is by the lake with a small island in the middle, straight east of Dun Algaz on the map. There's a small cave with Dark Iron Insurgents in it; the root is to the left of this cave between two waterfalls. It looks like a spiky thing poking out of the ground.

With Patch 2.4, the mobs around Stalvan's house are level 29-30 undead. Stalvan himself is now a level 32. As you enter the road to his house, veer off to the right at the first set of trees and pick off the mobs one by one. No need to got through Stalvan. Progress counterclockwise.

There are 2 mobs in the enclosed fence area that contains the Tear, which is in the middle. Can kill one at a time, but can take a while at level 26 (when I did it).

In the wetlands, just run along the mountains to the east just short of Dun Algaz through lvl 20-22 mobs until you get to the waterfall. There are crocs in the water, but no need to mess with the level 19 dwarves in the cave next to the root.

Return the brew to Stormwind Keep, then return to the Slaughtered Lamb. The hat is a very cool looking hat for its level. Makes you look like a mage (without being one).

As a note, if you're not a warlock, you cannot talk to the imp at all. I just ran these quests with my hunter, and neither the 'lock nor his pet were interactable.

I got mine at lvl 25 when the quest was made available. It's sooo easy to complete. When you go to Darkshire to collect the Tear, get to Manor Mismantle from the hills to the south. Send in void to get aggro of the undead guy in the fenced area. If/when Stalvan aggros send void. While the void is being your meat sack, collect the Tear! Sac the void and run back over the hill from which you came. At least that is how I did it. I walked away with only the Tear and the Curse of Stalvan. The curse of which was gone way b4 collecting the Root in Wetlands. You can get to the root w/o having to drop from the waterfall (duh). I only aggroed 1 gator which I feared to collect the root. Killed it since it was only lvl 22 and hearthed back to SW to turn in. Nice hat for lvl 25! Unless of course your engineering is up.... I did not check coords b/c I use questhelper... Oh and the only mob that died for my hat was the gator....I myself didn't die at all... :D
Happy Questing!

Piece of Pork Belly Pie this is...

Locks doing this have it easy. In Darkshire, Send in the Voidwalker, get him to torment everything in sight then run for the flower. Once you've got the flower, sacrifice then run like hell to the Griffins. I got out with 22 health left :D

for the tear of tilloa there is a very simple way to get it.. just fly to darkshire and as soon as you land just climb over the mountains to your left and will only need to aggro one lvl 29 ghoul.. simple as pie

I solo'd this quest at 25. As a warlock, I used my Voidwalker to hold the aggro of stalvan while I snagged the tear and ran. Getting the root is easy. a couple of level 21 crocs is the only enemy you'll see.

I did both quests on my https://vanillawowdb.com/?profile=us.greymane.lorinall druid. I don't understand why there are comments about this being a Warlock-only quest.

It should also be noted that the Tear of Tilloa is visible on the minimap for those that enjoy picking flowers ^_^

Also, as someone mentioned above, you CAN jump off the side of Dun Algaz after the first tunnel to reach the root, however, there is no need to actually take a death or use a soulstone as a lock if you do it correctly. Here's a few tips if you choose to go this route:

1. Always look before you leap! I can't stress this enough. As someone who rather enjoys seamwalking in video games, I always look at the edges of things to see where I would fall if I were to jump. And please try to take the shortest jumps possible. This will save you from an untimely demise.

2. Voidwalker + Sacrifice = Win! Have the blue freak out, and cast Sacrifice when it's up before every jump. You will take less fall damage if you do this.

3. Bandages! They are a cheap source of health that does NOT take much to learn, even at low levels. In this day with the Dungeon Finder, there is no reason not to have enough cloth to get first aid up high enough to use good bandages.

4. Soulstone, just in case! You can never be too careful.

This route will make this quest shorter, and it's a little fun to try to jump off stuff without dieing. Happy questing!

Why I cannot get the Musquash root? I receive the loot and it shows complete but the object is still getting the Musquash root.

I'm having a problem- my Warlock is level 34, but she can't interact with the quest giver at all. What could I be doing wrong?
