Another part of the same quest, this part gives you the staff. It's fairly useless but the quest chain rewards a LOT of experience for such easy tasks. Click on the torch when you are directly under the green glow to complete the final task after recieving the torch. This quest is lengthy, but at least you get to keep the torch , so in the end it's all worth it. :)

This one's not bad. You just have to kill the few guys around the towers and the elite on top. The place to use the torch is in one of the corners of each tower.

I found the torch a bit difficult to see. it kind of floats in the green haze and if the area is busy it is not obvious. Be patient and keep looking in the green light.

As of the latest patch (maybe before) the guards on the upper level of the towers are no longer elites.

whats stupid is that you have to go through all of that just to make the staff yet he is willing to make a brand new one right after you have destroyed the old one with out getting the other pieces.

You might want to keep the torch in your inventory, because so far it's the only way to raise your unarmed skill by hitting rats in IF or Dala.
Hitting them with the torch will not kill them (and it counts as unarmed), and you can easily go afk to get the achievement.

You will want to keep the Torch of Retribution for when you want to get https://vanillawowdb.com/?achievement=16 Did Somebody Order A Knuckle Sandwich?.

You can equip this item and attack a critter that fights back (a https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=13016 Deeprun Rat for example) and go AFK while you level up your unarmed weapon skill and defense skill.
