You need to use the chest twice. Once to get the quest and once to complete it (and recieve your box of goodies).

One of the items in the chest is a Black Dragonflight moult

I destroyed it as it was soulbound you can't sell it and I don't do leather, however I discovered alter that it is a quest item for: 'A taste of flame' in the Burning Steppes

I believe this can be used instead and that saves you killing an elite dragon (elite unless nerfred since TBC)
