Description

Nothing my tavern patrons enjoy more than some Beer Basted Boar Ribs! Only problem is, the local trapper who used to bring me supplies enlisted in the King's Army to help with the war on the Alliance front.

Maybe you can help me out? If you bring me six crag boar ribs and a Rhapsody Malt from the tavern here, I'll give you the family recipe for my famous Beer Basted Boar Ribs, not to mention a free sample! The secret's in the Malt!

Is there anything wrong with this quest.I have killed more than 30 boars and i still have one rib when the drop rate is about 50%!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems to be getting a horrible drop rate. I've been doing this quest for 30 minutes and still don't have all the ribs.

If you are having trouble completing this quest, don't worry. Kill boars that you see while questing (A Favour for Evershine comes to mind, as it has you kill plenty of boars) and you should end up with all the ribs. Personally I keep forgetting to hand in, so I have ended up with a surplus. Oh well.

Could he possibly be referring to you? Or one of the characters you completed this quest with? I mean, you did enlist in the Alliance army technically. That would be pretty cool if he actually meant you.

And, if I remember this quest correctly, before the Cataclysm -- the drop rate was extremely low; so instead of farming boars I'd most definitely enlist in the Alliance army instead!

For this quest, Ragnar Thunderbrew wants four tender boar ribs and a mug of Rhapsody Malt. The boar ribs where very easy to obtain. Just kill the boar's located off the road of Kharanos. The rhapsody malt was a little confusing for me to get. The location on the map is off so do not go by the map. On the quest page, it says you can get the malt from the tavern. Talk to Innkeeper Belm and ask to look through his goods. The first item you will see is the rhapsody malt. Return to Ragnar Thunderbrew at Shimmer Ridge in Dun Morogh to turn in this quest. Hope this helps!
