Well since BRD is an instance, I wouldnt even think of doing it solo.

Hits for 300 fire damage, has a instacast Fire Blast for 500 and Fire Nova for 500-600.

Even with FR aura on my 52 pally with Ice Barbed and some twinked out gear I couldn't kill hi, best I got was 16% with all cooldowns blown (bubble/LOH).

Unless you get really lucky with dodges or wanna pony up for some Fire protection Potions, don't try to solo this while it's yellow.

I just soloed this as lvl 56 hunter, pretty easy, he is tough though.
I basically just kept mending my pet and slamming ranged attacks after another.

Ok, yes this is an amazingly hard elite to kill but i just did it solo as a lvl 52 lock demon talent branch health 2025.....heres how you do it.

First make sure you get him alone so that no other mobs interfere. Second make sure you have these at hand: curse of agony, corruption, shadowbolt, healthfunnel and a healthstone or at least superior healing potions.

Send your voidwalker at him and i hit my VW with demonic empowerment just to give him an extra boost starting out. Also make sure you just far enough away to spell him yourself without getting hit by his area attacks. Hit Pyron with curse of agony, curruption and shadow bolt. Watch your VW health as it will get low, when its nearly halfway down use health funnel. When curse of agony and curuption run is course hit him again and then hit him with shadowbolt again and again. Keep doing this and as your VW health gets halfway use healthfunnel to keep it up. If your health gets lower than half use the healthstone or potions. Keep doing this and you got him.

Had to use curse of agony and coruption about 3 times each and shadowbolt about 6-7. Healthfunnel was used 3 times and one superior health potion.

Good Luck - I died about 5 times before I figured this out.

Soloed as a 59 Boomkin. Simple enough with Force of Nature and self-heals. :)

This quest was obsenely easy to solo as a 52 elemental shaman with BoA wep, shoulders, and trinket (garbage greens for the rest), simply threw lightning bolts and LHWed when I fell below 50. I was at 70% mana when he died.

Soloed level 54 Frost mage, easily
Spam crit him for 1k+ with Frostbolt and Fingers of the Frost proc
Water Elemental took aggro at start
Spammed Ice Barrier + Fire Ward and Blink
=Easy
50% health left
50% mana left
Didn't use a potion or a mana gem, although I did Ice Block to give my Water Elemental aggro.
Didn't Cold Snap either :D
