Salve via Hunting

Progress

Possessing a Cenarion Beacon allows one to sea a corrupted soul shard on those tainted beasts that are put down for the greater good. I grind shards into a usable reagent that goes into making Cenarion plant salve. We will use that salve to turn corrupted plants into healthy ones again.

In exchange for these shards, I will give you some Cenarion plant salves I have already prepared.

In order to loot the Corrupted Soul Shards, you must be carrying a Cenarion Beacon (https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=11511 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=11511) in your inventory. You can receive this beacon from Maybess or Arathandris, as appropriate to your faction, once you have completed their Cleansing Felwood quest.

i got them from all the oze that are around jaedenar wather at 40-48 both side of the little path to the jaedenar caves, is a relly good rop rate almost 100% and i got a nice epic mace too [Taran Icebreaker] , don;t forget to ask for the [Cenarion Beacon] from Maybass (the man with the q) before u go for the Corrupted Soul Shard , good luck

I also found the ooze dropping Corrupted Soul Shards. Decent rate too. But I found mine around Bloodvenom Falls. The Tainted Ooze around the lake and river (better drop rate near the river tho on both sides of road) drop Corrupted Soul Shards. This is by far the easiest (IMO) way to get the Salves.

I went back (to farm more &gt;&lt;) and found the Tainted Ooze in Jaedenar had good drop rates too. Real slow respawn rate tho. No worries. A quick ride north to Bloodvenom Falls will quickly round out what you need. 8D

Actually most creatures in Felwood drop these as long as you have the Cenarion Beacon. I found the Deadwood furbolgs have a pretty good drop rate (~90%), and farming these has the added bonus of grinding rep with Timbermaw Hold as well as a good drop rate on mageweave cloth, which on my server (Cenarion Circle) sells reliably in the AH for 7g50s per stack.

In the first sentence of the quest description, on Wowhead at least, there is a typo. it says ""sea"" when it should say ""see"".
