Kill Grimson the Pale and bring his head to Dalar Dawnweaver at the Sepulcher.

Description

It will indeed take me longer than I had thought to uncover the dark secrets behind the enchantments Arugal was using.

But in the meantime I need you to take care of a slight problem our Darkstalkers have discovered. It seems that Arugal let his magic spread to the Deep Elem Mine in the hills to the southeast.

The mine would prove to be quite a resource for Varimathras's advance.

I want you to behead the tainted foreman of the mine, Grimson the Pale. With his death, the mine shall be ours.

The following spell will be cast on you:
Arcane Intellect
Also, you get: 7

Progress

Has Grimson the Pale been slain? Varimathras will not be pleased if we ignore his bidding.

Completion

Most excellent. The mine will provide superb resources for our forces as we spread throughout Silverpine and into Azeroth.

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 105 experience (6 30 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Undercity

Not a hard quest, you need to go into the cave and watch out for patrols. Kill every worgen on your way. Grimson is at the end of the cave, the guards are pullable without getting Grimson's aggro.

There is a fast respawn rate on the mobs, so be careful.

Head down to main road from Sepulcher. Go south (right hand turn) to head toward mine. Take the first left turn (east) and head up toward mine. You'll go left up the hill and the mine is to the right as you head in close. You're going to be fighting Moonrage Darksouls and Moonrage Glutton as you head up toward the mine enterance. Once inside the mine, the way is very easy. Just watch for the rapid respawn rates. The mine is rather short, so the fight will go quick. Have Fun!

Obsolete quest now in Cata, so this is not truly important, but it's one of those trivia things anyway. The name of the mine, Deep Elem, is a reference to an old folk song, 'Deep Elem Blues' (sometimes Deep Elm Blues). The song referred to a red light district in old Dallas, Texas. Several versions were recorded through the 30s, 40s and 50s.
