The Fare of Lar'korwi

Find the carcass of Lar'korwi's freshest kill and steal a Piece of Threshadon Carcass before returning to Torwa Pathfinder in Un'Goro Crater.

Description

Once, a long time ago, a brother of mine took some meat from one of Lar'korwi's kills. He didn't know it at the time, but Lar'korwi saw him from the forest. Lar'korwi followed my brother for days, destroying everything he touched. My brother, scared, finally decided to run from the Crater and leave Lar'korwi behind.

Lar'korwi killed him not far from this spot.

If you want to provoke Lar'korwi, find a fresh kill of his and take some of the meat from it.

Return to me afterwards.

Progress

Do not take my words lightly, <name>. If you truly wish to face this creature, then you must be careful... and smart. It will take a great deal of strength and insight to draw out Lar'korwi and defeat him.

Completion

This will do nicely, <name>. It seems Lar'korwi eats well these days. Although, I wonder where he found a threshadon in this area. Odd.

Regardless, I will hold onto this until you are ready for your confrontation with the beast. Do not worry for my safety--I am sure you've angered Lar'korwi enough that he will not kill me until after he's tasted your flesh.

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 525 experience (31 50 at max. level)

The Fresh Threshadon Corpse can be found at 68, 57, surrounded by hordes of lvl 50-51 raptors. And I do mean HORDES. Getting the item you need requires a 5-second ""use"" of the corpse, so you need to clear everything neraby out first, or have someone pull everything away. Enjoy. I suggest waiting until you can safely dispose of the raptors, or reroll a hunter.

kinda easy yes, try and loot at the tail so no raptors get you.
i was lucky, i was on my rogue so i just stealthed untill they went away but then i did do on my pali and i did get the loot at tail so it is very easy to get with out getting agro.

Notice the river, if you follow that you can see where it jets out right at the quest object. I walked through the river and took a few steps out and got my item. I only saw 3 raptors, but had to kill one.
I did see the big elite guy, however, he walks on the other side of the corpse (on land) he never did get near the river.
( I hate un'goro!) lol This guy is one reason.

I completed it today on my hunter (September 29th 2008) worked just fine. Not many raptor mobs around...but I was 56 XD. I DO remember there being sooooo many more raptors around when I was leveling my main. They had to have reduced their numbers = /

I know this will probably be rated down but there are acctually two threshadon carcasses in Un'Goro Crater. The quest carcass is at 68, 57, which I know for sure works for the quest, I don't know if this second carcass will work for the quest but i found it at 31,78. Anyway I just thought i'd remark about it. ;)

Even though marked obsolete, I completed this quest today (patch 4.1) carcass was at 65,75 !

If it's marked obsolete, why is it still available? Surely Blizz should be able to figure out that if you can't complete the quest, then people shouldn't be able to take the quest.
Doesn't work for me, the corpse is unlootable.

The amount of obsolete quests which are still available in Un'Goro is terrible. Couple that with a lousy drop rate in other quests (such as https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=24719"">(Quest #24719)) and it's really not a great place to level, unless you're a skinner.

If you look at the title of the quest. You can find two antonyms in relation to birds.
The Lark represents the morning and day, while the Owl is obviously nocturnal. Not sure if this is coincidental but I just found it interesting.
