I was able to do this solo as a 23 priest, just barely.

He's located on the second floor of the main keep-like building on Fenris Isle. There are a quite a few 18 and 19 mobs in and around the keep, sometimes 2 at a time.

He's a level 24 elite, with a 24 imp (not a lot of HP at all, go for him first). There are also 2 of the regular 18 or 19 guys right by him. First, I cleared the whole top floor. Then I killed one of the normal guys by him, and ran around the top floor until I dropped agro. Then I did the same thing for the second normal guy. After that I killed the elite. I used everything I had against him, including a pot, and just barely made it.

All in all, its probablly better to do this one in a small group, or at a somewhat higher level.

Well this guy above is better than me, I wouldn't recommend trying to solo him at 23, I was also a 23 priest I tried to solo him and whiped. Probally because I used bad strategy. As angelFlonne suggested take the IMP out first, I partied with one of my guildies which was a mage lvl 21, he sheeped Thule and we killed the imp quickly then finished his other 2 adds. Since i'm a priest I just bubbled my mage and kept healing him throwing dots etc on Thule it was actually quite easy 2 manning.

I tried to solo it lvl24 Elf/Warlock and came close twice but just not enough power. Theres 6 guys in the room, 2 you can pull out, the other 4 stay together, 2 19's, Thule, and his imp. I can get the 2 19's down, and about 50-60% of thule. I think the imp died somewhere in the firestorms but I couldnt tell. One more guy would have made this a piece of cake though.

I was able to accomplish this quest as a solo lvl 23 Rogue. I swam out to Fenris Isle and stealthed all the way into the building. It is the only building on the island is it is covered with many lvl 17-19 rothides. It's a great way to earn some xp points if you want to kill them all. I opted to just knock out the quest.

Thule is located on the second floor in a large room. He has a lvl 20 demon with him and one lvl 19 rothide. I sapped Thule, killed the demon, and then killed the rothide. The demon is very weak but he does deal out some hit points on you so I suggest you get ride of him first to make the whole operation go smooth. Thule is easy. Once I killed him and left with his head and stayed stealth on my exfill.

Managed to solo as lvl 18 warlock. Here's what I dwowhead:1,id:

Cleared out the first floor of mobs, it's easy to send your Voidwalker to pull and deal with them using DoT, piece of cake. Clearing the area isn't mandatory in my case but I did it for exp and just in case. Monsters vary from lvl 18-19. From the first floor you take the stairs up at the opposite end of house, turn left, take the ramp on the right and you're at the boss room. It's Thule Ravenclaw, a lvl 20 mob with an imp and a single guard (regular lvl 19 rot hide). There's also a patrolling mob (also a rot hide) inside the room.

Pull the patrol outside the room with a spell and have your Void taunt him. He is easy to kill. Now, send your Void to attack the imp because it does a surprising amount of damage. While Void is their point of interest use Fear on Thule. Keep him Feared while casting DoT's on the Imp and next the guard, all the while having Thule running around corners.

My Void died in the middle of fight against the guard who had only 5-10 % hp at this point. He was easy to handle with but I had to take a health potion and thus couldn't remedy the Hex of Ravenclaw curse. I managed to kill the rot hide while keeping Thule Feared but I died. Luckily, I had my soulstone ready so I could summon myself back using that. Now with both me and Thule 100 % condition it's the final, epic battle.

I keep him Feared while casting DoTs and curse myself for not sacrifcing my Void for a shield earlier, also for drinking that health potion. By luck I manage to wound him enough (under 10%) that the DoTs kill him at the same time I died (for real this time). With the room clear and Thule dead, I hurried from Sepulcher's graveyard to claim my prize: a bloody, decapitated head of my current archnemesis. Having no soul shards at hand and not being in the mood to fight myself out I got myself killed and resurrected at Sepulcher.

Of course the above applies ONLY TO WARLOCKS. Having not much experience from WoW I can't imagine any tactics for other classes, but hopefully my example shows that it's doable with a (group of) relatively low level characters. But if you want to feel the rush of adrenaline, do it solo as a warlock. I had a great time, myself.

I managed to do this as a 19 rogue. I cleared out the level he's on, and then stealthed in and sapped Thule. I ran out of the room and killed the Rothide (I used a lesser healing potion here), then I ran away so him and his pet wouldn't be aggro anymore. I stealthed back in after and sapped Thule again and back stabbed his imp to kill it. Then I just attacked Thule and killed him, though I died after he did because of his DoTs, but I managed to get his head before. I probably could of used food or a potion but I didn't really think about it.

Easilly solo'd as a 22 Druid.

Just stealth in up to Thule's room, and take out the mob that moves up and down his room.

Stealthed behind the two, and took out his imp with a single shred, and Thule quickly followed. Healed up with a rejuvenation and a regrowth, back to cat form, and took out the last mob.

Easy, and barely went below half health.

Just finished this solo as a 19 Warlock. I died about fifteen times in the process.
Winning strategy:
Cleared entire floor, except for Thule's. Pulled one Rothide from outside. Sent Voidwalker in after imp, used last of Slumber Sand (from https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=368 A New Plague) on Thule. Took out other Rothide. Put dots on Thule, feared him, re-summoned Voidwalker (who had died), feared Thule again, Healing Potion, Healthstone, killed him.

I know no one really cares how I did this, but I decided to share because I'm incredibly proud of myself. It was incredibly lucky I didn't die for the sixteenth time.
I hit 20 as soon as Thule died.

Just soloed as a 17 Rogue. Died a couple times trying to clear to the room, but that was just poor preparation. I pulled the pat with a ranged attack and took him out. Second, I sneaked up the wall opposite the gnoll and sapped Thule. After that I melted the imp and took out the gnoll.

At this point, Thule had recovered from the sap and summoned another imp. Killed the new imp, used a Lesser Health Potion, and took out Thule with a couple hit points to spare. Didn't die once I got to him.

Room now only contains Thule (lvl 20) his Imp (lvl 20) and a Rot Hide (lvl 18), all non-elite. Easy solo as level 20 Priest in 30 seconds.

Shackle the rot hide, holy fire on the Imp once and a couple of wand hits, removed the Hex using the potion and then Thule was down in a 10 seconds.

Solo'd this as a 20 priest. With careful pulls, its easy to work your way in and around the rothides.

I needed to bring a couple of melon juice beverages along and kept up on my inner fire, but didn't need any additional potions.

When I reached the room where Thule and his imp minion were, I didn't see the rothide furball standing conveniently camouflaged in the corner. Well I *did* see him three seconds too late - I had already pulled the imp and then got pummeled by all three.

PW: Shield, inner fire and nova really saved my undead behind! I had just enough time to slay Thule and snatch his head before his DoT's killed me. I popped up in the Sepulcher graveyard and simply Angel'd back into life and took a short jog to turn in.

Bottom line for priests: Keep your PW: Shield up as much as mana allows, BUFF UP MAN, and pull with care. Piece of cake.

Easy solo as a lvl 22 Mage. As noted above, careful pulls while working your way up to the 2nd floor are a must. Once I got to Thule's room, I morphed him, ignored the imp and took out the rothide next to him. I had to morph Thule a 2nd time before taking out the imp. After that a quick bandage and health pot gave me more than enough to take out Thule, he really doesn't have much in the way of health.

Soloable as a 21 priest. Shackle the rot hide, put Devouring Plague on the imp (if somehow you don't manage to kill Thule before the dot is done, DP will kill the imp whereas SW:P will leave it alive) and then have a go at Thule. My real problem was actually getting out of the keep since all of the rot hides had respawned. Don't just give up and let them kill you - holy nova will keep you alive until you hit the water, and they won't chase you.

I've been trying to finish this quest with my 19 frost mage. Perhaps it's just my luck, but I keep running into a single mob that, when attacked or aggroed, splits in to two mobs and proceed to kick my arse. I'm more inclined to think it's already two mobs, just walking in perfect sync with each other. It happens every time on the first flight of stairs going up.

Doing this quest a month ago with my shadow priest was easy at level 17. Another bugged patch I'm assuming. Been a lot of that going around lately.

easily soloed as 20 rogue, died once in the process though. simply stealthed behind him, critted for 300 with ambush, 2 more sinister and dead, looted, and sprinted away. didnt manage to survive the run, so one dead. i would recommend a health potion for this strategy as rogue.

im new to WoW, and i'm not very good :p but i soloed this as a lvl 20 warlock (is it soloing if you have a voidwalker too?). The hard part is making it to Thules room in one piece... once you're there its easy, send your voidwalker at thule, and just concentrate on him... you and your minion will take care of Thule and his imp pretty easily, then just take out the Rot Hide.

soloed as a icc25 heroic geared pally... but seriously this quest has so much flying back and forth to UC when other quests in the area get you to the isle earlier in their chains... water walking elixirs are a good suggestion for when you need to hop back and forth to the isle and are easy to make if you can't get the effect otherwise

slow fall or similar effects from 61,40 will get you out there avoiding the swim as well.

While, no doubt, this quest is very easy at this point if you're doing it on a toon who you've loaded up with heirlooms, it can be quite difficult as a sub-17 toon without heirlooms. Be very careful while pulling especially.

Ok, to all of you that were maybe thinking of soloing it on level 17, get ready for some pain and suffering. I did it on my warlock on level 17 and I nearly lost my mind while doing it. The mobs on the lower level have a tendency to respawn at the worst possible moment.

If you are doing it with a warlock, have a healthy supply of soul shards. The way I did it was, if I had 3 mobs on my voidwalker (and I often did), to kill the first one, then resummon the voidwalker and finish off the two remaining ones.

Key here is movement, you need to advance from room to room as soon as you clear it and be mindful of the patrols.

In the end, I killed the *boss* on the top floor and then let his imp (and another damn gnoll that respawned) kill me, then I corpse ressed.

As I said, I did it on a level 17 warlock, my personal record, but I wouldn't advise it unless you are a masochist.

P.S. Zero heirlooms didn't help, if you are heirloomed, it might be piss easy on level 17. I don't know.

Solo'd as a lvl 17 Subtlety Rogue. Getting TO Thule was tougher than Thule himself, his Imp, and the Rothide next to him. Decided to drop a https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=4366#. Target Dummy in front of Thule, and then just waylaid him and the Rothide. After popping a healing potion I finished off the Imp. The most trouble came in trying to pull just one lvl 19 Rothide at a time while getting to this location. Watch for wandering sentries, especially the one that wanders into the room. Just make sure you take out any who might come in before tackling Thule himself.
