The Blackwood Corrupted

Fill the Empty Cleansing Bowl at the Auberdine Moonwell.

Gather a sample of fruit, nut, and grain from the northern Blackwood furbolg camps.

Mix the bowl and place it near the bonfire closest to the Cliffspring River at the northern camp, thus summoning the satyr corruptor.

Take the Talisman of Corruption and bring it to Thundris Windweaver in Auberdine.

Description

We've learned that a source of furbolg corruption is from the satyr. They hold sway via talismans that they channel magic through. If the furbolg have a chance at salvation, we must lure out the satyr corruptor and take that talisman!

Fill this bowl at our moonwell and take samples of the furbolgs' food from their northern camp. Mix them and place it near the bonfire by the river; any furbolgs who eat will be cleansed just long enough to lure out the satyr corruptor... who then you must slay!

Progress

The Talisman of Corruption is a sinister device that only serves to pervert the balance of nature. When you obtain this item from whatever satyr is tormenting the furbolgs and bring it to me for disposal, we will have won a great victory this day!

We have just begun this war to reclaim our forest from the forces of corruption, but a battle this day has been won! <name>, the people of Auberdine owe you a debt of gratitude that will never be easily repaid. Please accept this along with our thanks. What we have learned here today may one day free our furbolg friends from the shackles of torment permanently.

The Satyr that arrives is level 19 and brings a couple of furblogs with him, despite the rest becomming friendly to you.

The items can be found:
Grain: 50, 35
Fruit: 52, 33
Nuts: 51, 33

Once you have all of the items, right-click on the cleansing bowl and you'll see ALL of the Furbies run at you, but don't worry they won't attack you. I solo'd this as a 17 druid.

The demon doesn't actualy drop the quest item- its on the floor right next to him when you kill him.

The items are in what looks like giant kegs. Be sure to clear out several of the furbolgs beside the keg and possibly at the tents as well. I had 2 furbolgs spawn on me when I retrieved the grain, but none spawned when I retrieved the fruit and nuts. Also, if someone else kills the satyr, and then loots the talisman, You can go ahead and loot the talisman as well without having to put the fruit down which is what I did. Just a little helpful advice!

Nuts - 51,33
Grain - 50,35
Fruit - 52,33
Once you have all, go to the fire at 52,33 and click on the bowl with water. Furbolgs will come but will not attack. Then the satyr will appear; once you kill it, his bag will drop down; click on it and you'll get the talisman :)

...this is a long arduous quest, and although my lvl 18 priest was quite capable, it is way too easy to screw it up at the end and have to start all over...annoying in the extreme. IMHO the quest is more trouble than its worth.

The bowl cannot be used in combat, so don't expect to be able to just run in and place it at the fire with a bunch of furbolgs trailing you.

this quest is quite simple when u have the grain, nuts and fruit, u go to the bonfire in the north camp (the camp where u get the nuts and fruit from) right click the bowl near the bonfire and ur charecter will be mixing the stuff and he will lay it down onto the floor and all the furblogs run 2 it and start eating it, meanwhile there is a satyr next to the bonfire, kill him then there is a box next to him open the box and u have the talisman.

Two things:

Don't forget to fill the bowl at the moonwell in Auberdine before collecting the various items of food.

Collecting the food has a chance of spawning &amp; aggroing a furlbog or two, so be wary.

kill him as soon as he appears, or the furblogs will go back to red named and attack you when you go back to kill him and make sure you get the talisman fast or the box will dissapear and you will need 2 abandon and redo

I tried doing this as a level 19 Nelf Rogue and failed horribly. I could do everything but kill the satyr. I rez'ed twice and tried to kill him again before the furbolgs started to mass up on me again, but to no avail. I know I'm new to the game but no quest has made me feel like such a sheepish noob as this one has. I would almost rather be ganked by Horde than deal with this again.

I'll return to complete it when I'm a few more levels higher.

The bowl will stay in your inventory even after you complete the quest so feel free to chuck it out once you've done the quest.

Simple quest did it as a 16 warlock.
To get the items just kill the sorrounding furblogs and do it quickly. The items are in large kegs.
As for the bonfire thing go in from the top kill everything in front of u. And carefully enter by the bonfire and click the bowl. All of the furblogs well sorround u except the actually guy who should be behind u. Killing him is simple. The talisman is next to him.

Quick addition:

If you are lucky enough to be around the camp when someone else completes the summoning ritual and kills the satyr, you can loot the quest item from the basket the drops on the ground. I forgot to fill my bowl at the moonwell and showed up right as that happened and got to complete the quest without doing any of the lead up. I also was NOT in party with the person who killed the satyr.

As a 73 Draenei I got the Rep listed at the top of the page here, but I ALSO received rep with SW and IF. Minor error on Wowhead's part, but, worth nothing for rep junkies.

Definitely one of the most frustrating quests I've encountered. I did everything very carefully to gather the three ingredients and had the moonwell water. After carefully clearing the area, I summoned the demon guy. He and two adds killed me. I died in the middle of the camp so it took me a few times to resurrect without aggroing the camp as the furbolgs are now aggressive towards me. Again I carefully cleared the mobs but by then, the demon had despawned! I now I have to collect all the ingredients again and the moonwell water. I was not very happy. I'm just gonna have to do this quest at a higher level.

The quest could have been developed in a better way.

Ugh, make sure you get the water FROM the Moonwell... I went all the way to the fricken quest and had to come allllll they way back to get it. Otherwise, super easy quest.

For those of you who are getting killed by respawning furbolgs while trying to defeat the satyr, do this: don't fight him in the camp! When the bolgs turn friendly and run to the fire, back away towards the river. When you see the satyr, do something to pull him out of the camp so you can fight him one on one. As a night elf priest I used Smite to get his attention, then while he was running towards me I backed all the way to the river. He was super-easy to kill at that point and I wasn't hassled by respawning bolgs.

just info for ppl who do this on 'high' lvl for rep.
as i tried to do it with my lvl 27 dreanei shammy i didn't bother much about all the mobs while gathering the fruits. then killed whatever still had aggro to create the soup for furblogs. strangely, instead of placing it in front of me automatically it gave me few charges and i could place it in a chosen place. unfortunatly once i did that the furblogs didn't run towards it no matter how close to the the bowl was [i used all 3-5 charges] had to cancel the quest and do it again. 2nd time i killed all the mobs that spawn when u get fruit/nut/grain and everything when ok.
i hope that it helps some1 if he strugles with what i did ;p
