I was told the easiest way to beat these orge rumble is to have priest mind control one by one and toss them over into the lava. LOL.

I killed all of the ogres that spawned after driving the pike into the skull pile but Urok never showed up. What am I doing wrong?

You get the spike thats leaning against the wall after the 2nd bridge.
You get the head from Omokk or something like that, one of the giants.
Then you go down clear everything out...pass through the spiders and you get to a part where are few giants again. Kill the giants.
The pile of skulls will be right there. (it is exactly above the Omokk chamber)
Now get ready and all buffed up. Open ur bag, right click on the head while on the pile.
About 3 or 4 ogres will spawn (sometimes Urok spawns with them sometimes later).

If you click on the spike again it throws a bolt of lighting in the targeted oggre.

Once they're all killed the thing should drop from Urok.
Then you return to that litle guy (Warosh)that walks around the instance between the two roped bridges and return the quest.

the fight will be in close range... with more then few mobs at once, spawning after short time more and more... so be prepared

4/06/09 -- Able to complete this on my first attempt. Based on previous comments, I killed the ogres relatively slowly (held back on AoE damage). There will always be three ogres up at a time -- every time one drops, another spawns from one of the runes on the floor, so be prepared to grab him and prevent him from killing the staff. Made sure to kill Urok last, and the mojo dropped. May have just been luck though. GL.

The Roughshod pike. It doesn't shine, and it is past the 2nd bridge to the left, next to a group of sleeping orcs.

Not fixed yet: I just did this as a 75 deathknight, and no Urok.

This is my third time attempting the quest. I've read all these comments, and I've only seen problems with Urok not showing up, but my problem is getting the head. I've killed Omokk multiple times and not once has he dropped his head. Can anyone help?

Are they destroying the STAFF? they attack the staff .....if it disappears then UROK will not spawn..... do not let them (the ogres) destroy the staff

I should mention my experience, since I died after Urok spawned but before killing him, but came back and was able to finish the quest.

When I made it back, Urok was still there (not doing anything) and the two spawns that killed me were still there, seemingly beating on the staff. However, the staff was no longer there. They were emoting and animating that they were attacking the staff, but it was definitely not there. Not sure if this was a bug or not, but I was then able to kill Urok and get the mojo. The adds continued hitting the nonexistent staff during the fight, and then despawned after. Not sure if this would work with vanish/feign death but worth a shot if you're about to die when Urok arrives.

Don't listen to your 'quest helper' text post 3.2. It says to return to him in The Ruins of Alterac in Alterac Valley. I believe it's some bug with the helper trying to tell you were to go based on the coordinates but since the return is inside of the instance it screws up.

Of course for me, once my group disbanded I didn't have a clear instance to go back into to turn in the quest. Guess I'll wait until 80 when I can solo it to turn it back in?

Managed to complete the quest alright. Problem is Warosh turned into a friendly ogre before I got a chance to turn in the quest. Now my objectives say to turn in the quest to Warosh in the Ruins of Alterac in the Alterac Hills. Is that possible, or can I only turn it in to Warosh in LBRS...or do I have to drop the quest and pick it back up again.

Thanks.

So i started this quest. Im lvl 80 holy priest (dosn't matter really). So I've killed Omokk 4 times now and he still have not dropped his head (lol). I'm about to try a 5th time for measure before I report the issue to a GM...im sure I did not complete it when I ran this earlier on my toon..or else I would not have gotten the quest in the first place. Any issues like this with anyone else?

I went to hand this in, was about to click Complete and then he turned into ogre (others in group turned in before me) then I can't give it in. Also the quest when finished says return to him in Alterac?

A poorly designed quest. It seems only one person can complete it at a time.

Everyone can loot the mojo, but after one person turns it in this fella turns into an ogre and will no longer accept quest items.

If you are running with friends, prepare to make a few trips so everyone can turn their mojo in.
