Simple quest to do... 3 guys come to attack, I used 1 healing potion and finished them off. They're lvl 27/28 non elite. As a 33 Hunter (w/o pet out I was good to go). Good Luck!

Oddly, when I undertook this quest two days ago, the attacking mobs spawned, then despawned immediately thereafter. The quest showed ""completed"" in my log, and I received the reward.

Easy. Just finished it and soloed with my level 29 shadow spec priest. It's basically just like Tankme said, 3 centaurs come and attack. Nothing special.

I did this and died to the poinsons (each add will cast it on you), however the NPC did not die and finished off the mobs, so I got credit and all I had to do was corpse run back and turn in.

Soloed as lvl 24 shadow priest. Basically let Kanati tank as much as possible, while giving him some heals. Protected myself with shield + heals, throwing occasional damage at the buggers. Was a very close call due to running out of mana. Had to use one Lesser Healing Potion.

I did this a few days ago. I never even saw the centaurs. I just stood around a minute or two, while Kanati said things like ""Here they come"". Then I noticed that the quest was marked complete, so I turned it in.

fixed as of 7/23/07.

They spawned soon as I clicked accept and were practically an arm's reach away from hitting me

Kanati's a beefcake, you can probably let him take them on while you poach them off one by one. Even if you take all three, it's still pretty easy.

If you happen to fail this quest, Kanati has about a 5 minute respawn timer.

Packhounds randomly spawn here....

I failed because of that.

Did this quest as a 26 pally - had no problems, healed a few times but overall very easy. Good experience.

3 non elite mobs will come and attack you lv 27-29
3 non elite galak packounds scout the area lv 24-25, kill them or wait untill they have passed, they should pass the camp every minute
The mobs will attack the first target they see, hide in the tent and pick out one or two for yourself to attack and let Kanati attack his own.
If you are a healer heal Kanati and if possible cc a mob to make it less stresfull
If you failed the quest by dieing or letting Kanati die you can re-collect the quest from Kanati as soon as he respawned, this may take a couple of minutes.

Very easy quest, it spawns 3 Galak Assasins.
As a 31 mage, i simply frost novaed them, blizzard, blast wave, and coc and a arcane explosion and they were all dead.
Very easy quest and much xp rewarded for a short quest.

Don't pull them out to the road and fight there, the NPC will despawn after you kill the assassins and you won't get the complete message.

(I have no idea why I was killing them on the road)

Found this very easy as a shadowpriest at about 26. Just feared then killed them one by one, shield never even dropped :D.

Not wasy for 26 rogues...HOWEVER If you stealth in and accept the quest then you can distract them before they enter combat, Quickly sap one, Take one down, Drink a healing pot, Take down the sapped one and let Kanati have his own klittle fight....thats howi'm trying to do it : / But he keeps attacking the target that I sap >.<

Haha man, when I tried this quest, I nailed the three spawns easily, but RIGHT after we downed them, some Rarespawn luzr named https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5933 Achellios the Banished and his three packhounds aggro'd on Kanati, he almost got killed XD He had 1% hp left, I kid you not, I had to frost trap and have my pet attack all the packhounds one after another to get aggro on all of em.
Thank god I was hunter and this quest was green, or he was doomed.
Moral of the story, make sure the area is clear of pats before you get this started =p
I'm a level 30 huntard btw.

Level 27 mage, failed once - succeeded once. Stay inside the tent, and pull ONE centaur, let the other two dps on Kanati. When the first one is dead, take another one to you (simply cast a frost bolt, should make enough dmg to get his aggro). Kill it, now pull the last and kill it, Kanati should have around 15%~25% hp and probably poisoned now, turn in the quest. Get the reward.

Easy for a Prot Pally, just make sure you have all your buffs, seals and auras up before you turn in the quest. When the 3 mobs spawned they never went after Greycloud, they came directly to me. I moved back to force all 3 to reposition directly in front of me and then laid down Consecration to get the Holy DoT going, unleash Judgement of Light and start melee. Greycloud helps fight but doesn't seem to do much damage. I took down all 3 in about 10 seconds. I did get poisoned by one but can be dispelled with Purify. The pack hounds did not attack during this fight but they did jump me a couple minutes later while I was standing near the camp reading my quest log. Took them down fairly easily though.

28 Rogue Sub Spec Easy Mode.
I tried to pick them off and let Greycloud tank them at first and failed.
Next i stood as far inside the tent behind Greycloud as possible and as soon as i accepted the quest i stealthed and ran out and sapped one, you gotta be pretty quick to do this, but it works great. After i sapped one i let Greycloud tank one of them while i picked the other off. When you're done with that one kill the centaur attacking Greycloud and move the last one.

Pretty easy with this tactic if you get it down right.
