Run north through Alterac Mountains, through Strahnbrad and through the valley with all the mountain lions/Syndicate personell. You will come up on a farmhouse near the shore of the lake. The Syndicate mobs here are 39-40 and tend to be stealthed. There are two right outside the door, and you will likely have to fight both at once.

Once the door is cleared, be ready to fight two more at the same time right inside the door. It's best to pull them outside so you don't aggro the other mobs in the house. Once you dispatch those, you'll have to deal with Nagaz, a level 40 orc (part of an Alliance quest). Once he's down, there should be one more stealthed mob near the stairs to deal with.

Upstairs, there is one stealthed mob and one regular mob. You will have to deal with both at the same time. Pull them downstairs so you don't accidentally aggro Lord Perenolde.

Once you've finished them off, charge Perenolde. If you have never fought a paladin in PvP, this is a good preview. He has bubble shields and heals, and he's not shy about using them. He also has a sleep spell, so if you are in a group, expect to occassionally be down one person until sleep breaks. He is level 41, but he's not elite. Once you get his health down fairly low, he starts to flee, but he often runs back into the bedroom, which lets you pick him off at your leisure. Talk to the girl in the bedroom to finish the quest.

Do not let him put his renew on himself. He will heal up to full health in a matter of seconds.

I wish my renew worked so well!

Soloed 38 lvl assassin/subtlety spec Rogue. Sapped everything in my way, reached the lord, distract-sapped him, went at the left corner of his bedroom and pulled him when sap worn off. I fought him only with sinister strike and hits (so I won't get the attention of the next room mobs); at ~25% of his HP cold blooded him with eviscerate, left him with 4%, so he starts panicking (crippling poison could be usefull here but I don't think you will avoid being seen by the next door enforcer anyway) but I finished him off with backstab.
Note: I had to use almost all cooldowns, Evasion, Vanish (at the end coz I got aggro of the nearby mobs) and drank a greater hp potion.
I stood there and camped him for another 5 times, and I noticed that he uses renew when his hp drops below 50%. Rogues, be sure to save Kick for that. I don't know what's the cooldown of his skill, but I'm pretty sure he will try to cast it again whenever it's ready.

Extra careful of the poison that the Syndicate Assassins use. Could ruin your vanish.

It's definitely soloable by any rogue, as long he has at least 4/5 at Master of Deception; Syndicate Enforcers have very good stealth perception. Well at least for the case you want to pass by all the mobs.

Cleared as a lv 36 hunter. He heals 234 damage every 3 seconds with his renew if memory serves correct. So pretty much within no time he'll be back to full health. But he wastes his mana really quick so you dont have to worry about seeing that more than once.

Soloed rather easily as a 39 resto druid. Just kept a rejuv on myself and a moonfire dot on him, just meleeing with my dagger the rest of the time. He renewed back to full twice during the fight, but my mana regen was superior. He eventually ran out of mana and decided to run for it.

He doesn't actually bubble like a paladin, he shields (and renews) like a priest.

Annoying fight, this.

Soloed as a lvl 42 frost mage. Would have been far easier had he not aggroed along with the two mobs upstairs every single time I tried it.

I noticed that my normal tactic of: Frost Nova -> kite (read: run away like a little girl) -> zap from range; didn't really work so well here. He tended to sleep me as soon as I got out of melee range whenever he was frost nova-ed. of course it would wake me up as soon as he caught up and started hitting me, but the inability to keep him at range was a real problem.

I have also done this quest as a warlock ~lvl 40.

Much easier--simply have the voidwalker tank and stack the DoT's. Then, mana drain him. He can't heal if he has 0 mana. Makes the fight go much faster.

If you aren't doing other quests in the area, and just want to get in and out, the best way to get here is from Undercity. The farm is to the southeast of the city; you have to run around western wall, as the eastern is blocked by mountains. You can try to stay on the ledge instead of swim in Lake Lordemere, and to get there, this may get you all the way around the city into Alterac. On the way back, this won't work, and you'll have to swim around; considering swimming is more direct, this may be faster despite moving slower. You'll see Dandred's Fold easily from the water.

as a lvl 42 ret paly this quest was disgustingly easy to complete with the new patch. it took me literally 6 mins including the run back to tm. and i had to heal only once, even tho it wasn't even really necessary.

soloed as a lvl 36 ret pally, but it was not as easy as i would have thought. i dont if it was just due to my low lvl or if the two mobs always pull with him, anyway i killed them both first then started on him. Being 5lvls lower i missed a good amount of the time and the hits that did reach him didnt do that much, beacause of this his shield lasted for its full duration most of the time, and i had to run his mana before i could really start killing him. Its a long fight, but he doesnt hit too hard so it shouldnt be a problem to just heal through, having a shield may also be a good idea, i changed to that once i realized how long it would really be.

the respawns are really high. by the time i got to pulling the 2 upstairs they were already respawning down stairs. i killed nagaz 3 times. it helps a lot to have someone just charge in while you're killing the ones outside. i tried to help but sadly this mystery person riding an ostrich died so that i could complete that quest easier.

IF you're going from Tarren Mill, you may want to go to Hillsbrad Fields and head north. There, you just stick to the shoreline. The first house you will encounter has two ~34 elites (3.5k health each) in it that should drop at least one decent green. If you have trouble with elites or are trying to solo this, I would recommend swimming around the house.

Once you get past his Renews & bubbles he's not bad at all. As a lvl 38 Blood Elf Paladin I used Seal of Command, Exorcism & Consecrate to get past his bubbles. As soon as he hit 50%, I stunned him with Hammer of Justice & used Judgement of Justice to make him not run. Then for good measure used an Arcane Torrent to silence him before killing him with another Exorcism.

all this talk of ""soloing...""

i'd be rather surprised if you couldn't solo it.

warrior: charge, rend, hamstring, slam, overpower (if you're arms), if he's still not finished, whirlwind or whatever you need, he didn't even have time to heal or bubble with me, and i'm not a twink.

I soloed as a lvl 39 Ret Pally.

I ran by the lions...only stopping to kill 1-2 annoying ones :D Went through the farm first...killed some stragglers. Ret Aura, Seal of Command, Blessing of Kings I had on. used Bladestorm (Comes with the SM drop Ravager) and a couple of judgements and Consescrate. Then took out the guards at the door, then the 2 inside. Nagal went down soon after, then headed upstairs and took care of the others. :D

INC GREAT WALL OF TEXT

Now, if you're wondering to yourself why I didn't get a couple more levels and run into Perenoldes house to roflfacerollfeardotrunwin, instead of writing this novel, it's simply because I <3 a challenge.

Solo'd as a level 35 undead demo warlock with Herbalism as my profession (lifeblood was what really turned the tide on some fights, giving extra hp to lifetap or funnel to my VW). Anyway, here's exactly how I did it:

[Be aware that I did this under the effects of one of the Midsummer festival food buffs (namely the one that gives you hit)]

Before attempting this be sure to have healthstones, potions, and bandages ready. It also helps to soulstone yourself pre-emptively in order to perhaps save yourself from an apparently very long walk from the graveyard.

Started out pulling nearby targets that could pose as a potential threat, I used detect lesser invisibility stacked with VW's Consume shadows so I could see all of them clearly. After clearing those I used my eye of kilrogg to scout stealthed adds within the building and again used the Consume shadows trick to pull one of the adds closest to the door. Be aware that you will most likely pull a second add along with the initial target so pull them to the upper righthand corner OUTSIDE and away from all possible mobs that may spawn. Kill the aggroed mobs with your generic rotation Immo>CoA>Corrup>etc (You may sacrifice+health funnel if your VW gets a little low).
After clearing the first 2 mobs closest to the door you may proceed to pull the Orc to the same spot you killed the first 2 targets, again with the same rotation, funneling VW when necessary and popping Sacrifice w/e you receive aggro.

Now ideally you should have killed these targets fast enough to beat the respawn timer for the mobs outside of the house, you may go ahead and enter the house and pull the last 2 mobs *excluding perenolde*. One will be located at the base of the stairs and stealthed, while the other is directly in front of perenolde. Try to pull both individually using the same method mentioned above... Now for perenolde you want to start off with full hp/mana for both you and your VW. Open with VW taunt, apply curses, drain perenolde's mana until 0, keep VW alive with HF, Sacrifice when Aggroed, reapply curses. (Keeping perenolde's mana at 0 is your priority in this fight.) Keep this up until perenolde is dead. Anytime during this entire event if you happen to be in trouble with your HP, cannibalize or bandage to full when out of combat whenever you can to reduce downtime since beating the respawn timer is crucial. IF you're in combat use potions/healthstone/lifeblood. (Fyi, having your VW on passive helps.)
So yeah, after you complete the quest, every mob on the 1st floor of the house as well as all around the outside of the house should have respawned, and if you havent blown your SS yet you can proceed to death run as far as you can away from the house and rez after dying and losing aggro, OR you can do what I did which was hearth to UC and fly back to tarren mill to turn in my quests.

Hope this all turned out just as well for you as it did for me. :P GL!~
