Dalaran Patrols

Kill 6 Dalaran Summoners and 12 Elemental Slaves, then return to Magus Voidglare in Tarren Mill.

Description

The wizards of Dalaran constructed a vast, magical dome around the heart of their city. Some believe it was for protection from the violence of these times, while others say they merely wanted solitude, to study and plot.

I don't care what the reason was. I do care that the ruined outskirts of their city, outside the dome, may hide valuable magical treasures.

But the area is patrolled by the wizards and their elemental slaves.

So hunt them, and return when their numbers are sufficiently reduced.

Summoners can summon in a caster (the ones who summon the ghosts) or a Shield Guard, so interrupt/fear them if possible. The rocks get weaker as you damage them though, so pretty easy.

The summoners also drop Runes of Opening, which can open the lockboxes lying around (I didn't find anything good in them, just some greys).

When entering dalaran, look out for a level 40 standing on the outskirts of the ruins. He looks very similar to the summoners but is 5/6 levels higher. Also, the mobs inside the ruins are very close to each other and it is very easy to aggro multiple mobs.

Cosidering the level I was when I did this (lv38) the mobs for this around the area have a high aggro range for their level (31-34), be careful lower level people as two or three of these can come running from no where and you'll be swamped.

To the north of Hillsbrad Fields, there is an area that looks like it has this big purple cell surrounding half the place, that is where you gotta go. There, you will see some elementals and humans around, those are what you have to kill, but try not to mistaken the Dalaran Workers from the Dalaran Slaves.

Do this quest with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=557 Bracers of Binding.

Elemental Slaves hits hard and it's easy to aggro two, so beware.

  • No special abilities
  • Their size and physical damage done diminishes as their HP is reduced (first it drops by 15, then by 26 and finally by 40)
  • They have a huge area of aggro (if it's not a fight you wish, you better stay far away)
  • Kinda easy to defeat as long as you are able to pull them one by one

lol, they did not update the quest text to reflect that the dome is no longer there like they have in other quests.

Good quest, but the elementals are immune to nature damage.

A pain for caster shamans and druids
