Description

Hegnar Rumbleshot sells guns off the road to Anvilmar. Riflemen and mortar teams spend a lot of time practicing out near his shop, and he's always needing fresh ammunition.

But... the last crate of ammo I sent him got lost along the way. My courier said he was camped near the Grizzled Den when wendigo chased him away... and the fool left Rumbleshot's ammo behind!

<name>, can you get that ammo and take it to Rumbleshot? He's been waiting on it and I'm sure he's running low.

Got the ammo crate at 44, 56 (https://vanillawowdb.com/?object=176785 https://vanillawowdb.com/?object=176785). Be sure to watch all the crazy NPCs around the mortar launcher. The quest turn in is at 40, 65 (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1243 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1243).

Interesting little tidbit...pretty sure all of the voices of the dwarves in the event are from the Mortar Team units in WoW's predecessor, Warcraft 3.

This quest was not available to me as a level 9 human rogue. I believe this quest must have been removed.

I can confirm that it's been remove - not available for new dwarf or gnome players either.

I actually still had this quest today (and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=317"">(Quest #317)) on a character I started a long time ago. I was able to complete it, as the https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=13850"" class=""qundefined icontiny"" style=""background-image: url(images/icons/tiny/inv_ammo_bullet_02.gif)"">Rumbleshot's Ammo was still in the same place it had been before and https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1243"">(NPC #1243) was still waiting for some ammo. The dwarven crew still did their shooting activities.

I was able to share the quest with another quester, but I have to imagine the number of people that will still complete it is numbered, which is too bad. Good quest, all the pieces are still in place, and some great comedy at the end. Not sure why the developers felt the need to remove it.
