Description

Would you believe it, <name>? Redpath wasn't satisfied with all the murlocs we killed--oh now, don't be modest, you had some hand in it. Now he wants me to bring proof of the dead, hacking off cold, slimy murloc heads to submit for his approval.

Can't stand touching those things, myself. Fish are all well and good, but when they grow legs and start walking around... Haven't eaten a fish in weeks, let me tell you, and in Southshore, that means you aren't eating much.

Since the 2.3 patch this drop rate has been improved considerably.

Running up the coast just north of Southshore gave me a drop-rate of 10 in 35 kills for ~30%

I've just started this quest. I say started, I've killed about 15 murlocs without 1 drop and wondered what the hell I'm doing wrong. Sure enough I discover that it's not just me... everyone knows this quest sucks.

The problem I have with this is that it's not hard to kill these things. They're just Murlocs which we've all seen a million times. Boring, boring, boring. Sort it out Blizzard!

Now back to it......

Maybe the murlocs aren't headless. Maybe it's just not murloc heads :O

I kind of want to ask a GM, ""If not all murlocs have murloc heads, what kind of heads DO they have?""

I guess some of the murlocks are exceptionally smart compared to others, so they get to have a head. Others have... well, something that doesn't count as a proper head.

Seems the drop rate is so low because the rest of the ""murlocs"" are actually human children in Halloween costumes. Oops.

Quests like this one, and the one before it annoy me. We were just here killing the exact mobs for a slightly different quest. Poor quest writing on the part of Blizz.

Questgiver: ""Oh you just killed 30 of those murlocs? Well...go uhh...kill 10 more of them and bring me their heads...""

I know a logical solution to this some murloc heads are so disfigured after combat you can't say it's a murloc head anymore there for it doesn't drop

Quests where you have to bring ""proof"" with a low drop rate make me wish you could just drag the NPC along and make them watch you kill the mobs...

quests like this one really #$%^ me off, they obviously all have heads and the drop rate is retarded, this is where warhammer got it right EVERY quest mob drops the items you require as it should be.
