Description

My kinfolk were traveling here with many sacred troll charms, but the Thistlefur furbolgs attacked and killed them before they reached Zoram'gar! Those vile Furbolgs!

I miss my brothers and sisters who were killed, but we will meet again in the afterlife. However, their troll charms hold great value in this world. It is an outrage that the furbolgs have them!

<name>, you must retrieve the charms! They are in chests in Thistlefur Hold, a cave at the end of Thistlefur Village, north of Astranaar.

Careful in this cave, things respawn very quickly. Watch your back as you progress through it or you'll end up with respawned adds easily. The troll chests respawn quickly as well though, so you can circle around one room and finish the quest pretty quickly.

I didn't find it very clear how to enter the cave.... I went around the cliff face to the left of the Thistlefur camp in hope of the cave being on that bit of green where the loc is placed.

If you encounter a load of troll warlocks with imps and a few blood elfs holding tourches you have gone the wrong way.. reach 31.47 and keep going north untill you hit a cave loc 38.30

The entrance to the cave is at 38, 30, but you can't just get to it from any direction. Take the road from 31, 46 north up through Thistlefur Village. This is an excellent time to do the ""Between a Rock and a Thistlefur"" quest.

Keep heading north, and walk up the little steep path to the northwest. There will be two more mobs here. The cave entrance is on your right. The Thistlefur mobs in here are levels 23-24.

You are looking for small brown sparkly boxes along the walls. Each one contains one troll charm. They respawn pretty quickly, so don't worry about going too far into the cave.

Inside the main entrance and to your left is a little trail. Go down it to pick up the quest ""Freedom to Ruul."" WARNING: This quest should be done with a friend/group. You have to take Ruul down through most of Thistlefur Village, and he aggros mobs like crazy.

this quest was bugged when i tried it.

there was an invisible mob going up the hill to the actual cave that was causing me trouble. also left me in combat forever. had to vanish to finally get out of it. anyone else having this happen?

Bugged invisible Pathfinder kept range attacking me and I couldn't get him. Very annoying how this is bugged.

The chests are not clickable if you are in a party with someone who is not currently on the Troll Charm quest with you. I ran into this issue and wasted about 10 minutes so hopefully this saves others time.

Interesting note about the quest completion text - it changes depending on the gender of the player, as a lot of quest text does, but it seems a little off as it's a male Troll and he's talking about his charms.

It seems Loremaster will take me a long time if I end up reading all the quests like this... ;)
