Find the 12 missing pages of the Shredder Operating Manual, and put them together to form Chapters 1, 2, and 3. Return the pages to Gurda Ragescar near Splintertree Post.

Description

I just picked up this shredder from Ratchet and I was on my way back to the Warsong Lumber Camp, where I am supposed to be on duty. I was given a manual on how to operate the shredder, but on the trip back, a huge gust of wind blew it from my hands. The pages went everywhere, and all I was left with was the cover.

The pages could be just about anywhere by now, I suppose... but I don't know how to use the shredder without them! Will you find them for me?

Great quest for getting exp fast. Buy them from the AH for 10silver a page and finish the quest for 3650 exp in 5 min of work.

Alternativly, get this quest as soon as you can and just do all the other Ashenvale quest. You can save up the pages you need and sell any duplicates for 10s a page, THEN buy the ones your missing. You could save about 1g this way, and you dont have to go out specifically to grind for the pages, as they drop from nearly every mob in Ashenvale

Be sure to bind the pages together with the same character you will be using them with.

Let's just say I learned this the hard way and now have a bank character with 3 soulbound chapters of the Shredder Operating Manual....

You can only buy the separate pages from the Auction House:

Chapter 1: pages 1 - 4
Chapter 2: pages 5 - 8
Chapter 3: pages 9 - 12

They can drop off nearly every monster in Ashenvale. Just so you know, i got all of the pages from doing the other quests in Ashenvale.

It says in questlog ""..on the trip back, a huge gust of wind blew it from my hands. The pages went everywhere.."". It mustve been a huge tornado or something as I found these from Booty Bay auction house.

I was farming wool on my lvl 50 shammy and had all the pages in an hour no problem all dropped from Thistlefur Hold so there's always the option if you have a high char to farm and mail :D

I was grinding on Bears and Spiders for a while, and didn't find a single page. It seems to me that the pages do not drop from Beasts.

This Is A Horde Only Quest

So for the allies there is no point for collecting them or keeping it in your bags. :P

If you are level 80 doing this quest for Loremaster, Satyrnaar is a great place to farm these. The mobs respawn at a reasonably fast rate so you can just do repeated cycles of the little area. And if you get duplicates you can sell them on the AH. You will also get a fair amount of greens, silk, and wool, which are also great for the AH. Come with lots of bag space! :)

I saw her spawn and immediately die, in her correct spot.
I made a GM ticket and they said many people are reporting the same issue, and it's been sent in.
For now, this quest is not possible to get or complete until its fixed.

UPDATE: I advised a GM of this issue of only being about 70 or 71 quests for Ashenvale out of the 80 needed for the achievement. They told me there was no known issue at the time about there being a possible oversight. HOWEVER, I am writing this in effect due to the fact that I logged in the other day to realize that I had somehow MAGICALLY obtained the Ashenvale quests achievement 80/80 after submitting my concern. So maybe if you're really diehard about it, just let a GM know and hopefully it pops up for you
