Description

Vorsha the Lasher... the fiendish hydra that roams the seas...

She has attacked our outpost, each time unprovoked, laying waste to anything that falls in her path.

But I am ready, <name>. I have prepared to best the hydra and end these attacks on Zoram'gar.

The naga honor the wicked nature of this beast with a brazier that remains lit on an island just off the coast. I believe that if we put it out, Vorsha will appear in anger.

We will need help, so be sure to bring some strong allies.

Reward

You will receive:
Horn Ring

Completion

I have witnessed many naga attacks since I arrived here. It puts my mind at ease that Vorsha will no longer roam freely.

We are in your debt, <name>.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 230 experience (13 80 at max. level)

Just follow the orc and do what he says ^^ Luckily enough you get a break between the waves of mobs, which come in about 3's, and in the third wave it's Vorsha. Make sure you drink between fights, and be at full health when Vorsha comes along.

I soloed this quest at level 21 as a Warlock. He says you need a group, but you really don't. The first thing that will happen is you will escort Muglash a bit to an island. He tells you to dose out the first in the middle.

Be ready for battle when you do this! The first wave of attacks comes; it is 3 nagas. If you are a warlock, have your void walker tank one, let the NPC tank one, and keep the other mob feared. After the first 3 are killed, you will have about 5 seconds to eat/drink. Do it!

Next comes 3 more nagas, rinse and repeat. Again, you will have another 5 seconds to rest. Vorsha comes next. Just went down like any other level 22 mob. Good experience, worth doing!

Soloed this quest as a level 23 Priest. I feared the waves to make it easier to kill them. When Vorsha came, I let Muglash tank and just healed him.

Like Ekornmeyer said, it says you need a group, but it's easy enough without one.

The above theory of allowing Muglash to die is disproved. I just tried to do the quest as stated and I failed the quest when Muglash died, it was likely fixed in the most recent patch.

Also, when Vorsha spawned another 3 naga spawned as well. This could be anything from a bug to Blizzard trying to further ""fix"" the quest and make it more group-oriented.

It's really easy. I soloed as lvl 23 Warlock, sent in Voidwalker to tank, used Fear on one, and let Muglash do the rest. Vorsha is lvl 22, so it was pretty easy beating it. I almost died once, but having first aid makes a big difference.

It appears that what causes this event to 'glitch' is when other characters fail the quest.
I did this quest on my 21 druid and as with the other reports Vorsha came with an extra wave of naga. Luckily I managed to kill him, but about 10 seconds after I killed Vorsha and the extra waves of adds, more waves of adds begun to spawn and yet again Vorsha spawned.
In summary : If you see the bones of dead players next to the alter, you may be in for a tougher fight then what is expected.
I put a GM ticket in with my findings and they said they'd look into it.

I just tried this and there were three waves instead of two. The first two waves were easy enough but then the third wave and Vorsha came at once. I gave it two tries but this happened both times.

On the second attempt I tried to tank the three adds and let Muglash solo Vorsha as others have said he can, but he failed.

If you're having some trouble with this quest with the number of adds you can do a small strategy that I had recently found out. Once you are on the small island with Muglash, put out the flame as instructed, though once you do so, head most south on the island, this will cause one of the adds to head straight after you before the other adds come within the line of sight, and Muglash will come to your aid once attacked which allows him to also avoid those mobs, the waves then become 2-phase fights consisting of the first add, then the two others at the end of each phase, hope this helped because I know some classes aren't as solo worthy as others.

Easy quest (solo'd at lvl 20, shaman). Just do Stoneskin totem + keeping up Searing Totem and you'll survive ;)

You will most likely get all the aggro, so make sure you have enough mana to heal yourself! (espiaccely against Vorsha)

Solod at lvl 21. Very easy.

Just had my pet tank the nagas and had Muglash kill them. No problems. At Vorsha two lvl 21 Alliance attacked me. I killed one solo and and Muglash killed the other. Very easy and worth doing.

Just soloed as a level 20 Rogue. It was a piece of cake.

I honestly wasn't expecting to survive as it said it was a 23 group quest, but I decided to give it a shot and had no problems. The waves of Naga I could dps fast enough so that they didn't do too much damage, and there was just enough time to eat between the waves.

When Vorsha came I just had to use a health potion once, and then she was down. The only annoying part was the second wave of Naga had the sorceresses that put you to sleep, but there was still no problems. :)

Good luck all!

Easy to solo as a 25 warrior. And I'm admittedly a wuss when it comes to taking on quests like this. I didn't have any of the problems others did with the extra wave of nagas- I may have gotten lucky with no bugs. Just a few minutes for a lot of XP- and Muglash can hold his own!

I solo'd it as a lvl24 druid, not hard at all. because of previous posts i was kinda skeptical, but it was easier than I thought it would be.there were only 2 waves of naga, 3 each, and then Vorsha by herself for me,. ... I just did it in bear form taking the aggro, healing ever so often and buffed Muglash with Mark of the Wild and Thorns, which helped a lot. so....its not that hard.

Solo'd as a lvl 24 Enh Shammy. I actually thought it was good practice for healing during a fight which I don't do that often as I am Enh. Only 2 waves of mobs then the big daddy -- or mommy maybe, not really sure. :

Solo'd as a 21 Druid.

No problems with the waves of Naga, just 2 waves of 2x melee and 1x caster, the first wave put Muglash to sleep and the second me, but DPS'd them down no issues in cat then warstomp+heal (yay for bovine intervention) before stealthing ready for Vorsha, who went down without issue - though Muglash did nearly conk it!

Definately an easy quest if you're careful :)

This ""Group"" quest is a joke. There's no elites, so why make it a Group quest?
Solo'd as a Level 26 Goblin Warlock. Started off rocky, but I got the upper hand. Killed the ""elite"" easily.

""If we do not have a group of your allies to aid us, we will surely fail."" Don't believe this crap.
The orc didn't even help me with Vorsha. He just stood there looking off into space.

I did this as a low level quest, so I was eager to just run off and get it done, but it kept coming up as failed. I guess I didn't wait long enough for Muglash to start heading out and so that's why. If anyone else is having this issue, just be patient and wait for him to slooowwwwly start walking towards the objective. He will eventually.

I just soloed this with a level 22 hunter with no special gear at all but I survived, just barely. Helps to have a bear with you, if you're a hunter, because a lot of damage is dealt out. On your breaks quickly feed yourself and your pet. A health potion would obviously be wise to bring with you as well.
