Description

A force of elemental scouts was sent to the eastern plaguelands of Lordaeron, and the disease of that place twisted and infected them. The Waterlords cannot allow this affront to our purity!

Take this vial. In it is a quantity of one aspect of Neptulon. If used on the plagued elementals it will fight the poison within their bodies and cure them! But their inner conflict will drive them into a surging madness.

Defeat the discordant surges and bring me their bracers of binding.

Completion

You have done well, <class>. The corrupted elementals you cured were an outrage to all bodies of water. Our strength lies in our purity and if we are to win our war with the others, we must remain strong.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 435 experience (26 10 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Horde
  • 250 Reputation with Alliance

Mobs southwest of Light Hope at the lake. Plenty of elementals there. 100% drop on the bracers.

I came with my mage. If you are a frost mage, these water elementals are immune to anything frost. Use your fire blast, arcane explosion, scorch, fireballs.

They will interrupt your casting, so cast after the jump interruption, then use later your fire blast, ect.. They are immune to your water elemental pet if you have it.

They dropped everytime the bracers for me, in almost every kill and is great place for water essense, I got a few drops

Coords are 61.2, 75.5, EPL

I also received 250 'Horde' reputation for completing this quest. I was already exalted with all of the individual Horde factions. Completed at level 70.

When Poisoned Water and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6805 Stormers and Rumblers quests are completed, https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6821 Eye of the Emberseer becomes available.

I did the quest Stormers and Rumblers, and turned it in. I can't figure out how to get him to give me Poisoned Water. I spent an hour in Silithus grinding myself from Neutral to Friendly with the Waterlords thinking that might be it, but he still won't give me the quest. Does anyone have any idea what it is that I'm missing to get this quest and continue down the quest line?

Confirmed with a GM - removed in 3.0.8 (if you didn't already have it).

He gave no indication this was a bug.

I do not know if it's shareable if someone has it in their log from pre-3.0.8.

With the obtaining of an https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=17333 Aqual Quintessence being turned into a feat of strength, I think it's safe to say that this quest is not intended to be available anymore.

Has anyone with this quest in their log tried to share it? Usually, a quest that provides an item is not shareable, but I am just looking for confirmation for this particular quest.

Edit: Got confirmation on 11/29/2009 from a GM that this particular quest is not sharable. No sense on trying to hunt down someone with this quest since they will not be able to share it.

I hate it when they remove quests and items with no warning at all. What really hurts is I actually had this quest at one point but dropped it temporarily because my log was full. I can always go back and pick it up again right...uh oh guess not. They should at least give everyone a bit of notice before they take stuff out of the game.
