Zinfizzlex's Portable Shredder Unit

I'm as anxious as you are to try out my portable shredder unit, <race>, but before I can make the kit, I'm going to need materials - lots of materials! To be exact, I'm going to need a mountain of thorium, mithril, and iron. I will also need one steamsaw per unit. You'll have to get those at the lumber mill. When I was nosing around in here (before my capture) I noticed a pile of steamsaws at the Stormpike lumber camp. Master Engineer Zinfizzlex wants you to bring him the following:

I believe this quest and the goblin NPC for it have been removed from Alterac Valley. All part of Blizzard's attempts to change AV from an epic full-scale war battleground to one of light 40-minute skirmishes.

This quest was removed from Alterac Valley with the first map change. To get and complete this quest, you had to first escort the goblin out of a troll cave behind Snowfall Graveyard. The reward had a timer on it so it was not permanent.

By some strange error, Questhelper still records this quest - and lists it as being located in icecrown 58;46. One can only wonder.

This quest is certainly in game as of today. Though, it seems the Steamsaw is unattainable. I have no idea where I got it but the quest is in my log. I thought it was part of the engineering quests for Jeeves but guess not. Perhaps it was a share from someone who had it from long ago. Idk. I didn't notice until I farmed and bought all the bars then realized I could not complete the q. GAH.
