The recipe can be purchased from the smokeywood pastures vendor just beside Greatfather Winter, as can the holiday spices. As for the small egg's I found a good drop rate (~90%) to be off the greater vultures in westfall. Quite a few of them roam east of sentinel hill. The milk can also be obtained from the innkeeper in westfall, and any other low level innkeeper.

Another good place for small egg farming is Southern Redridge mountains where you will find about 10 of them flapping around ;) happy hunting!

As for any horde looking to gather eggs, they can be found, with a rather high drop rate, off any dragonhawks in eversong woods.

Also might I suggest checking your mail after handing in this quest as greatfather winter also sends you a nice package.

Let's get this straight:

Eggs drop from low level (10-20) bird mobs. Pretty high percentage on most mobs.
Holiday Spices are sold by the vendor next to Greatfather Winter. Cost a few copper.
Recipe is sold by the same vendor.
Milk is for sale by every innkeeper. Costs just over a silver for 5.

The innkeeper is about twice as far away from Greatfather Winter as the AH. I honestly enjoy all the people pouring money in my bags because they buy my milk off the AH for 1G per glass. But please, you read Wowhead, you're supposed to be informed! Just buy the milk from the innkeeper!

2010 Confirmed ~ Quest Is Super Easy...
1) Buy Recipe at the Vendor Near Quest Giver for the Cookies
a) Buy Holiday spices from the same vendor x5 for 10 copper
He does not have a loot bag when you cursor over him, you have to talk to him and ask to browse his wares. He is the goblin under the red tent named ""Wulmort Jinglepocket"".
b) Farm Small Eggs in WestFall x5 from the Condors
c) Cook
2) Go to the inn and buy milk x5
3) Turn in

As of Cataclysm they moved the Smokeywood Pastures Vendor to a cart near the AH in Org... not sure for Alliance... She sells [Recipe: Gingerbread Cookie] as well as [Holiday Spices] + some other goodies... Eggs you have to farm (or buy) and Milk from the Innkeeper
