Once upon a time, this item did a fixed amount of damage, instead of a percent-based amount of damage, while still offering a 60% speed increase. At that time, it was considered a ""must-have"" pvp item, both for the run speed and for the ability to break various forms of CC. Since the change to do a percent-based health and mana reduction, it is less desirable.

Its primary use now is to keep around and use to try and kill yourself to save durability rather than be killed by NPCs in a raid wipe.

Personally, I found the lore payoff lacking... All that trouble to see the guy get a zap on the nose? Talk about anti-climatic.

This whole chain quest is about helping the Twilight Hammer, the armageddon cult worshiping the unimaginably powerful parasitic beings know as Old Gods. They even gave Titans, the shapers of the planets, a pause.

You will find Theldurin the Lost at Koords 51,77 in the Badlands and I got 2900 exp at lvl 46, no rep points.

I almost didn't do this quest because of Goatsicles post but then i noticed Griftiests post &amp; thought it strange that all the quests leading up to this one counted as eastern kingdom loremaster why wouldn't this one. (As i usually scroll to the bottem to see the newest info i had not noticed Griftiests post right away) So i went ahead &amp; turned it in. 1000% This quest DOES count toward Eastern Kingdom Loremaster achievement. I went from 672/700 to 673/700 it DOES count.
