Description

You wish to enter my good graces? Then kill for me.

My servant, Ulathek, is pathetic how he grovels before me, all the while plotting with Lord Hel'nurath on Xoroth. Hel'nurath plans to usurp my power here, and Ulathek is his spy...

Prove that you serve me and not my rivals. Confront Ulathek in his quarters, in the Shadow Hold to the west. Tell him that I know his secret and watch as fear grips him. Then, bring me the traitor's heart!

I can already taste the heart of Ulathek on my lips. So sweet is the flesh of a traitor...

Completion

Ah, how splendid! After rotting a week, this heart will prove a succulent treat! Perhaps I will send for Ulathek's head and place it before me as I eat...

You have done me a service, <class>, and so my patience for you has grown. Marginally.

Upon completion of quests, get:

To find Ulathek, all you have to do is walk back down where you came from (back towards the entrance). Eventually you'll see a path that doesn't lead out to the entrance or to Lord Banehallow. You just follow that path and at the end will be Ulathek with about 3 guards. It isn't too hard, so good luck.

To add a note on ppl NOT using Felguard... Max is him, plus 4 adds... (Lvl 53-56) and it's easy soloable with your VoidWalker... Didn't heal, didn't die, and lost only a little life healing VW once... Siphon them, a kill boss, then take the adds (Guards) one at the time... No panick, not hard... The whole run took 17 min, from outside drinking potion, 'till HeartStoning... So even 1 flask is plenty...

level 60 afflic lock with invoker/sorcerer gear solo'd very easily. finding him was the hardest part. backtrack your steps to the entrance...he is a 2 minute walk and will be in the room at the third bridge you cross on the way back.

To be a little more specific, head back towards the entrance. Don't turn off to the right where the slimes are. When you start going uphill, there will be a dead end branch to the left: ignore that too. Next there's a bridge on your left guarded by a legionnaire. That's what you want. Ulathek is in the room at the far end of the bridge. You have to talk to him before you can fight him.

This quest was cake. As a 60 Affliction spec lock, I dropped the Taint of Shadow, and dealt with his guards. As soon as they were dead with, I re-applied the elixir and spoke to Ulathek to begin the encounter. A few dots and a Drain life later I had his heart and my Xorothian Stardust.

I still cant find and my dumbass used two potions accedientaly in the bigining and used my last looking, so i have to go buy more potions.

This quest is ridiculously easy now that we have 51 point talents at our disposal. As a demonology warlock you just pop Metamorphosis and Immolation aura and you'll kill all five mobs without even having to do anything else.

Ah, memories. It's not possible now, but back in Vanilla I enslaved Lord Banehollow and made him kill Ulathek himself.

There was something unique and quite exquisite about being able to force a lazy quest-giver to do their own damn dirty work for once...

One important thing to know BEFORE you make the run down into the hole is that you should make sure you have at least 150 gold with you to buy what you need from his helper. Otherwise, you'll have to make another trip. :/
Also, Rakaih(the Succubus demon) for some reason was the only enemy in the whole place who wasn't fooled by the potion of disguise, and she aggroed on me every time I tried to get past her, but a warlock can easily enslave her.

I remembered this being easy from the last time that I did this so I didn't bother to summon my pet. Big Mistake apparently. I guess since I was his primary focus he was able to dispel my potion. I am now running back to Burning Steppes to get another one since I cannot turn in the quest without it. I suppose I deserve this for being a cheap bastard and expecting to do this with only one potion like I always do lol.
