Description

A Doomsday Candle stores fire and directs it at those who would disrupt your ritual. When creating your Circle of Greater Summoning, if your candle is lit then any wayward demons will be burned by its flames!

Containing that fire is not easy, and requires the essence within the scales of a black dragon. Acquire those scales from a skinner and bring them to Gorzeeki Wildeyes.

Progress

Did you bring the dragonscales, <name>? I don't want to start on the candle until I have them... or I might blow up the whole camp!

Completion

Ah, very good. I'll need these to contain the fires of the candle. Now that I have the scales, I'll make the candle and hold onto it until you're ready to begin your ritual for the Circle of Greater Summoning.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 660 experience (39 60 at max. level)

You must complete this part of the quest in order to finish it. There is some stuff at the End you DO NOT HAVE TO BUY as long as you have another friendly warlock with the items. The ITEMS you DO NOT have to buy at the VERY END are the Jar, the Glyphs, and the Lodestone.

Be sure to bring 3 Arcanite Bars with you or you will be flying back to UC to pick up 3 on the AH and flying back.

I just did this quest on 23 May, 2007 and I only had to give 3 Black Dragonscales, not 35...was it a change in the patch? Or did I have a weird glitch?

Confirm the previous post. As of The Black Temple Patch 2.10 the number is now 3!

p.s. I laughed at my friend cause a day before the patch he finished all 35 and a day after the patch I only had to AH 3! He wasted like 80G over 2 days difference.

Note: You will now only need ONE Arcanite Bar instead of 3 for the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=7630 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=7630 quest - so only bring 1 Arcanite with you instead of 3.

No longer available as of 31 Oct 2010 (not sure when it was taken out). I assume the same goes for the Wheel and the Bell (I have completed these so I can't check) and the rest of the chain. No more FoS :(
